Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.67/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I'm still blown away by how fun this remake is, especially as it was my introduction to FFIII. A game that, after the originally Japanese exclusive FFII on NES/Famicom, originally lacked more depth to its own story in comparison back on NES, returning the 4 party members into faceless name-plates like the original Final Fantasy. As someone who is finally cleaning up over the games I missed, I ended up already liking FFII Pixel Remaster a lot more than I expected to, due to how I heard it was hard to like in the first place. Thanks to the remake, we get the 4 onion knights properly named with more established character traits, to make the story more engaging if you ask me... The presentation also keeps a lot of the charm the original 2D Final Fantasy games had with more cute designs for the characters, while the enemies still look quite intimidating overall. The music overall got remastered this way, leaving a better experience with the phenomenal soundtrack you had back on the NES/Famicom originally already. It also adds in more content to enjoy level grinding before the big finale as well, leaving it easier to be prepared for the finale as a whole! However, that finale is still VERY tiresome, due to how powerful the enemies are, to where it is still very hard as a whole. This is an issue with FFIII no matter the version, but with everything considered... It is overall still a better experience from the original as a whole, leaving it to be one of the best versions to play of Final Fantasy III. Play this version if you want more depth to the characters and story! 8/10

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 10: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Un classico della saga che, per chi ama i Final Fantasy, va giocato a tutti i costi. La storia è piacevole, e il combattimento a turni è il classico. Il cambio della classe è per me una piacevole scoperta.

Honestly, I never played FFIII till this remake so I can't make a comparison, but it is super fun and the auto battle button makes grinding easier when you got chores and a family. i sit and fold laundry while getting buff lol Just keep in mind if you use it, make sure you know it just uses the last actions they took. They art-style is kind of like Crystal Chronicles which is cute the "3D" graphics are a bit 2D, but honestly its a bit endearing. Maybe it helps with the people who played it originally.

Pretty solid port if you can get past keyboard/mouse control weiredness. If I had a controller I'd disappear into the 2D bliss. Nostalgia for the win.
Tentative recommend. It's basically the same game as FF1 and 2 but with slightly diversified combat mechanics (and better communication of information about gear in-game). There is some grinding but it's not too bad - I'd say about 10% of my total playtime was grinding (my displayed playtime includes a decent amount of idling). However, the job system remained a bit experimental at this point. Job levels are based on the number of actions performed as a particular job, meaning that the best way to level jobs is to find a fight with a low-power enemy and perform actions which don't damage that until the fight's tenth turn (at which point all characters will have gained a job level). There's also a baffling pairing of choices to both heavily disincentivise switching jobs (not only will it cause an immediate loss in power by switching to a lower level job in most cases, switching jobs also applies a debuff to a character which lasts for a few battles); but also, in some cases, offer the player a choice between using specific jobs and grinding a little to level those jobs, or grinding a lot to simply outpower content. I'll also mention that for those who are interested in achievements, even with the cheesy job levelling strategy outlined above, there is one achievement which can only be accomplished by grinding job levels for dozens of hours beyond the time it takes to complete all actual content in the game. However, brushing past all that, it's a pretty fun time and it's interesting to see the tinkering and experimentation done by designers in early JRPGs. Without an interest in the history, there's games more worth your time, but with that, there's enough fun here to recommend. One final comment - there might be some performance issues in that the game got a bit framey at times despite not really using any of my computer's resources. Not enough for me to spend time trying to fix it, but enough to be noticeable and worth mentioning.
