Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

A lot of people told me I probably wouldn't enjoy this one, but surprisingly I really enjoyed it from start to finish. The story is a step up from the first game and while it was a bit cliche from time to time, there were a lot of moments I really liked (Palamecia Castle, Cyclone, etc.) and the stakes felt a bit higher overall. Gameplay wise, I liked some of it and disliked other bits. I liked using weapons/magic to level them up, but I did not like the overall grindiness it felt just to get those things leveled up. I did end up missing the traditional classes and leveling system by the end, but I didn't hate what FF2 brought to the table and I won't be dreading it when I eventually return to the game. Overall, pretty solid game and I'm a bit disappointed I missed out on it when I was younger.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.89/day in the week to Aug 4 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game kinda sucks overall, but the thing that really set me over the edge is after i beat the game, not only did i not get the achievment for beating the game (i'm probably going to beat the final boss again just for it) but also I like to watch the developer credits, only for them to stop working 20 seconds in. I'm never going to play this game ever again.

In comparision to Final Fantasy I this game is absolutely awful: -The map is awfully empty and unlike in the first game you can just go everywhere and have to just be lucky that you dont run into a zone with high level monsters -The leveling system is just nonsense And one thing in general: Its an absolute joke that they recycled all the sprites from the FF1 Pixel Remaster

I have a bit of a gripe with the fact that you get the most powerful spells at the end and have to level as well as the spell levelling as a whole... but honestly? I didn't really mind the levelling system too much beyond that. If you want a character to be good at spellcasting... have them constantly cast spells. You want a specific spell to be really good? Use it A LOT. I didn't have too much of a problem with that system but I know there's a lot of people who didn't like it. Mechanical comments aside, good game! I really enjoyed it and the final boss was very cool. The art for both the boss and the area was amazing. I'd say this final fantasy is an upgrade from the first.
Bought the series. This was my least favorite out of all
