good game, scared me several times

Loveletter to low poly horror! It's been a while since a game had me playing past midnight. So I'm happy to admit I destroyed my sleeping pattern last weekend by playing this game 'till 3:30 AM. The gameplay loop is very satisfying, the characters are written comically, despite the story taking a more serious turn near the end of act I. A combination that doesn't often mix well, though wonderfully executed here. All I can say on th story is that I can't wait to see what Act II and III have in store!

Small spoiler ahead. Little disappointing ending - I would prefer truly being a nobody rather than being/being influenced by some previously established character. But other than that, this is a very enjoyable game that simply does its own thing; creating an atmospheric environment, and some transhumanism elements (which I love!). I also like how every level is a new area (though lore wise it's technically the same place) - it makes you less "familiar" with the environment, which increases the horror aspect of the game.

There is so much wasted time it just makes it so frustrating to play, the whole burning card thing takes like 30 seconds of just waiting for the bird to stop flying, the walk to the pit and back takes ages, i just wanna play the game! its little things but it makes me lose interest for the game i feel.

What a game. It is not what is expected, it is far better. Tremendous design, storytelling, lore and writing, the musics are quite enjoyable too. I can't wait for Act 2.

Absolute gem; the gameplay loop, characters, graphics, etc are all stellar, and I'm so so hooked on the story I just cannot wait for the next part! if anyone touches a hair on acolytes head im killing this whole cult straight up
