About
FEED THE AI is a short (~3h) active incremental where you feed an evolving AI with Data and shape it into a Tyrant, Rational, or Protector.
Will your creation save humanity... or rule it?
At first, you help it. Then it starts to evolve. Eventually, you begin to feel control slipping away.
Each upgrade expands your AI’s capabilities, pushing it closer to something beyond human control.
Will it protect humanity... optimize it... or dominate it?
The AI comments on its evolution as it gains more power and control, following paths that feel uncomfortably close to where real AI could lead us.
Complete the game with each Alignment to unlock permanent additional effects through a simple Prestige system. These bonuses speed up future playthroughs, making it easier to explore every AI path and uncover the full story.

100% Complete in 2.5 hours, and not much here on top of the old demo I played a while back. The game is very repetitive, with very few changes from early to late game. It feels like the game was made just slow enough to escape the 2 hour refund window.

Found it quite tedious. 100%'d in 3.5 hours, most of which felt like padding past refund period. There's very little to see after the first few upgrades, no meaningful change in mechanics or complexity as time goes on. I kept playing in hopes there was some hidden full game hiding behind what turned out to be the full game. There was potential here with a karma style system to get different modifiers, but its squandered with inconsequential stat changes. Doesn't do anything offensive, just doesn't do anything particular entertaining either. Was not worth the price of admission, that's for sure.
It's a fun game. Played it three times through. The karma thing makes very little difference storywise. From that aspect it was not worth it to play it a second and third time. I would just chose the different perks for what they immediately and individually do, NOT for their bad/neutral/good karma and (supposed) influence of the story,
To any fan of incremental games — especially ones who aren't too demanding — I'd absolutely recommend this game. The art is excellent, the sound design is excellent, the atmosphere is pleasant, and progression through art is handled in an interesting way. But for me there's one big BUT: the gameplay and the progression tree. Let's not pretend this game isn't a clone of A Game About Feeding A Black Hole. I want to be clear upfront that this is completely fine — in fact, I'd argue FEED THE AI surpasses its progenitor in its own way. But some core tenets, as I see them, are broken here. Content is doled out very slowly, and progression is very slow. The tree feels static and uninteresting — the viruses are a genuinely fresh idea and I like that — but beyond them it's repetitive upgrades pulled from the same single cell. The AI perk system is neat too, another point in its favor. Now, why I dropped the game for now: it hasn't been balanced at all. The very first mechanic, Lightning, is stronger than anything else you have access to even at T3 upgrades. Some "upgrades," when taken, actually make your run worse — and that's just a nonsense state of affairs: "upgrading" something and getting weaker as a result. Unlike A Game About Feeding A Black Hole, there's no stats tracking for damage dealt or money earned, and I suspect that's deliberate, so players can't see just how unbalanced the game really is. Probably the final straw was when, after taking a T3-branch upgrade, I literally started earning about half as much money and couldn't afford the next upgrade. The game is already very slow, and that was the last nail in the coffin for me.
This is legitimately one of the best incremental games I've played. The gameplay is solid but what really stands out is the story and the writing. I haven't played an incremental game with a story like this and being able to choose how you make the AI from neutral, good, or evil is realllly cool! https://youtu.be/67fZ_8ir0yo
Nothing new and very short for $6 regular cost. 2/5
Idle & Incremental Lovers 300% recommends Feed the A.I.: One of the all time best! Minimalist art is absolutely gorgeous, sound design is top notch, 3 AI scenarios are both sarcastic and realist, and limited vision gameplay is so good and well implemented. + I don't know where to start with this one, cause this is nearing perfection. All the elements of the general experience (gameplay, art, sound design, story...) are awesome and intertwin in a great way that make you feel part of this scary future. + Did you know it would be fantastic just by looking at the trailer? Yeah, me too! + Telling the story by means of the AI's thought is a creative take I really enjoyed. + The story? More like the stories! I like that I could experiment 3 different scenarios regarding the way AI will develop in the future. Contrary to most games about AI, this one did a pretty good job at anticipating the futuren. All this with a great sarcastic touch! + From the get go, you know that you'll be able to experiment the 3 scenarios through a prestige system (no FOMO, which I really appreciate). I wish prestige was a bit buffed to advance a bit faster, but the gameplay change a little and is so good that it was a pleasure to complete the game again two times. *What's the AI drummer’s favorite beat?
