Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 24 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I had a lot of fun ranting about this game, but at the end of the day..the story is weak. You have barely any decisions ever, most of which don't feel like they do anything. A lot of very lazy writing going on. My favorite example is when Rin "disguises" herself by dyeing her blonde highlight black and cutting her hair short But then her hair just magically grows and "black goop falls from her hair" so her blonde streak is back I guess they really wanted her to disguise but didnt want to change her main model at all
Artstyle and voices are great. I find the whole concept/idea of the story very interesting and it has a lot potential. However, I feel like they kinda messed it up a bit of how the rules work and how people would act in such a situation. Still, it was a good read, and I found myself cheering for the romance until the end. But I have to stress that this is the type of game where meaningful choices would have been nice to have, because the main character basically does nothing for the majority of the game, and somehow gets trhough everything with luck and kindness, it's a bit silly.

Fatal Twelve is a visual novel that takes a familiar concept—a battle among individuals fighting for a second chance at life—and transforms it into a deeply emotional and thought-provoking experience. Developed by LYCORIS and published by Sekai Project, the game combines supernatural mystery, character-driven drama, and psychological tension into a narrative that remains engaging from beginning to end. Rather than relying solely on shocking twists or constant danger, it builds its strength through meaningful relationships, personal regrets, and difficult choices that challenge both the characters and the player. The story centers on Rinka Shishimai, an ordinary high school student who helps manage her family’s café and enjoys a peaceful life with her friends. That normal existence is shattered when she becomes involved in a deadly explosion and loses her life while trying to save someone important to her. Instead of passing on, she awakens in a strange new reality and discovers that she has become one of twelve participants in a supernatural contest known as the Divine Selection. Every contestant has already died, yet each is given an opportunity to reclaim their existence. To survive, they must uncover critical information about the other participants, including their identities, the circumstances of their deaths, and the regrets that continue to haunt them. What makes Fatal Twelve stand out is how it develops its cast. Every participant in the competition feels like more than a simple rival. As their stories unfold, the game reveals personal tragedies, hidden motivations, and emotional wounds that make each character believable and sympathetic. Even individuals who initially appear suspicious or threatening gradually become understandable as their backgrounds are explored. This focus on character depth gives the story considerable emotional weight, encouraging players to see every contestant as a human being rather than merely an obstacle to overcome. The narrative carefully balances mystery and drama throughout its progression. The rules of the Divine Selection create a constant sense of tension because every revelation can dramatically alter the balance between life and death. At the same time, the game spends considerable effort examining themes of loss, destiny, sacrifice, and self-worth. The central mystery remains compelling, but the emotional journeys of the characters ultimately become the true heart of the experience. Players are encouraged to think about what gives life meaning and whether a second chance is truly worth the cost required to obtain it. Visually, Fatal Twelve delivers a polished presentation. The character artwork is detailed and expressive, helping important emotional scenes resonate more effectively. The contrast between ordinary everyday settings and the eerie atmosphere of the supernatural competition is handled particularly well, creating a world that feels both familiar and unsettling. Backgrounds are attractive and varied, while the overall visual style complements the serious tone of the narrative without becoming overly dark or oppressive. The audio design further strengthens the experience. Its soundtrack effectively shifts between emotional, suspenseful, and reflective moments, enhancing the mood of every major scene. The voice acting adds personality and authenticity to the cast, making interactions feel natural and helping players become invested in the characters' struggles. Together, the music and performances contribute significantly to the game's emotional impact. As a visual novel, gameplay primarily revolves around reading, making choices, and exploring multiple narrative paths. Players looking for extensive gameplay mechanics may find the interactive elements relatively simple. However, the branching storylines and multiple endings provide strong incentives for replaying the game. Different choices reveal new perspectives and hidden details, allowing players to gain a fuller understanding of the mystery and the motivations of the cast. The game is not entirely free of shortcomings. Some sections progress at a slower pace as the story takes time to establish character backgrounds and emotional context. Certain plot developments may also feel predictable to veterans of the visual novel genre. Nevertheless, these minor issues are outweighed by the strength of the writing and the emotional payoff delivered during the later portions of the story. Fatal Twelve succeeds because it prioritizes emotional storytelling over spectacle. While its premise initially resembles a survival competition, the narrative evolves into a thoughtful exploration of regret, redemption, and the value of human connections. The game consistently demonstrates that understanding others can be just as important as defeating them, creating a story that feels mature and heartfelt. For fans of visual novels, supernatural mysteries, and character-focused dramas, Fatal Twelve is an easy recommendation. Its memorable cast, engaging mystery, strong presentation, and meaningful themes make it one of the more distinctive narrative experiences available on Steam. By combining suspense with genuine emotional depth, it leaves a lasting impression long after the final ending has been reached. Rating: 9/10
A very good Death Game visual novel with a sprinkle of romance on top. I wouldn't go in looking for very much in terms of the agency you have, but the story is very good even if it would be nice to let the girls actually kiss on screen given the whole story is based on their romance. Maybe if it was made 20 years later...
