Build a farm along winding rivers and historic grain elevators in North America, surrounded by ponds in Central Europe, or in a lush East Asian landscape filled with rice paddies near a neon-lit port city. Grow crops, tend to animals, practice forestry, and manage an empire of business ventures with farm shops, productions, and constructions!
Twisters and hail add new challenges, prompting farmers to prepare and assess the impact on their crops. Tire tracks also leave an impact thanks to ground deformation and plenty of new weather effects, making the view on your farm more romantic and immersive. Start the day with sun rays breaking through the treetops, illuminating the morning mist with golden light!
Grow two types of rice on water-retaining rice fields, or spinach, peas, and green beans as Farming Simulator 25 extends the choice of crops to 25 in total. Various tree species plus greenhouse vegetables offer even more variety. Adding Asian farming, you roam the fields operating new types of equipment, while mighty buffalo and goats join cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, horses, and other livestock in pens and pastures. [b]TL;DR:[/b] Great mods. Little to no technical progress. Greedy DLC policy. More and more content is being locked behind overpriced paywalls. [hr] FS25 can still be a fun game, mainly because of its incredible modding community. Ironically, the community often delivers better content than the developers themselves. Unfortunately, there is barely any technical progress compared to previous Farming Simulator titles. With every new release, innovation seems to slow down even further. The DLC policy is the biggest problem. Gameplay mechanics that should be part of the base game are increasingly being sold as expensive DLCs. Many paid vehicles already existed as free, higher-quality mods long before they were added to overpriced Season Passes. Less than two years after release, you're looking at around €30 for the base game, ~€75 for the Season Passes, or ~€110 if you buy every DLC individually. To make matters worse, it feels like content was cut from the base game before launch just so it could be sold later as DLC. GIANTS Software seems more interested in maximizing short-term profits than building a better game or maintaining its reputation. I genuinely hope a serious competitor enters this niche. Farming Simulator has needed competition for years, and players deserve better.
