I played this game a long time ago, and I couldn’t finish it because it was broken and unbalanced even on easy difficulty. Now I tried the steam version hoping it had been updated, but nope it’s still the same. on top of that there are some bugs that actually work against you and make the game even more frustrating. It’s actually a good game, but the unfair difficulty completely ruined it for me. If you like torturing yourself, play this game. It’s worse than Dark Souls.
The original Far Cry holds up surprisingly well. Boasting that early 2000s beach vibe goodness brought into reality through the magic of the Crytek engine this game is a fun mix of Ghost Recon styled shooting with a fairly open level design allowing much user creativity. There are a few moments that are frustrating, the helicopter, and final mission in particular, you will have to do over and over until you figure out the secret recipe. I was surprised by how much fun I had with this game. Maybe its just nostalgia for the early 2000s shooters I got lost in as a kid, but this game just felt like early Ghost Recon in a beachfront sandbox. I cannot recommend this game enough, one of the better ones I have played through in the big 2026.
J’adore la franchise Far Cry au point que j’ai joué pratiquement à tous les opus. Pour autant, celui-ci, qui est le premier de cette saga, est singulier : - d’une part il s’agit d’un monde semi-ouvert, ce qui était bien pour l’époque (d’ailleurs le support était celui d’un DVD-ROM). - d’autre part, le scénario est fortement coloré par une dimension fantastique qui est absente de tous les autres opus (sauf dans certains DLC comme la vallée des Yétis dans Far Cry 4). Franchement, cet aspect est très plaisant d’autant qu’il s’inscrit tardivement, mais avec sens, dans la progression de l’histoire. Far Cry est également un jeu exigeant qui ne donne pas le droit à l’erreur : « une balle et tu meurs direct ». Pour ma part, je trouve que l’expérience est très punitive au départ, mais l’appropriation de l’exigence tactique permet de la rendre très agréable. Les graphismes sont réellement datés mais la qualité du gameplay est susceptible de nous faire oublier cet aspect au cours de l’aventure.
В принципе решил пройти так как все таки первая часть, сюжет норм графика для того времени тоже неплохая, оружие стрельба тоже неплохая но можна было и лучше, без проблем тоже не обошлось стамина и AI врагов это жесть просто, у них как будто есть 3 глаз как будто, на протяжении игры они просто хотели от героя автограф как будто, они стреляют через палатки и через кусты а также если они вас увидели то удачи от них избавится если они где то 200-250 метров от вас, в любом случае это неплохой эксперимент так как следующие части становятся в разы лучше, и те кто пищит что это самая лучшая часть из всех то подумайте еще раз, ностальгия иногда обманывает
