Total crap, Far Cry 1 is much better

Frankly, comparing to Far Cry 1. This was very different. Not a Doom 3 copy. I played this with the redux and realism mods, vastly improved the game by a mile and actually made this game playable for a high end PC. 7/10 - The game was mediocre, the issues behind scarce fast travel, saving, constant weapon malfunctions and lack of mission variety make this game at times feel repetitive and difficult. However, for a game made in 2008, this paved the way for it's own market rather than being a smooth established ride like Fallout 3 or GTA IV. I would still recommend this game due to it's difficulty, African Setting, realism and impactful ending. Some notable inspirations behind this game was the Heart of Darkness which is a great read and the Congo & Sierra Leone Civil War. These are still important pieces of history to remember, this game captures just that.
