Long ago, a war raged between two powerful deities. Each was sealed away, their weapons scattered throughout the world. Our hero in this RPG, Fang, happens upon one such weapon and now he alone must choose which deity will awaken again!

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 8 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Música6Acompaña bien; rara vez roba el show.

This is the newer version. It boasts a better interface, more on screen characters, more/different dungeons, a skip/fast forward button during battles, and it's WP system is more streamlined. The complaints about the WP system are still valid. It is still quite a burden somethings for some things. However, I find the game (so far) to be better than the original. If you are going to play this game, play this one instead. Recommended (with constraints).
Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force is a JRPG that mixes lighthearted character banter with a surprisingly big game behind it. It has that Compile Heart vibe: colorful cast, lots of dialogue, and a tone that can flip from goofy to serious depending on the chapter. If you enjoy story-heavy anime RPGs, it’s easy to settle into. The combat is turn-based but built around momentum. You’re not just picking “attack” and waiting—positioning matters, hitting enemy weaknesses matters, and chaining actions feels rewarding once you understand how the systems fit together. Battles start simple, then gradually open up with more options and bigger numbers, and the game becomes more fun when you’re planning turns instead of auto-piloting. A key mechanic is the whole “Fury” and skill setup side, where you customize what characters can do and how their abilities link together. It’s not the deepest system ever made, but it gives you enough control to build your party your way. You can lean into raw damage, support-heavy setups, or balanced teams, and the game is forgiving enough that you don’t need a perfect build to progress. Exploration is more functional than exciting. Dungeons are straightforward corridors with enemies and loot, and you’ll revisit similar-looking areas. It’s not a game you play for breathtaking level design, but it works because the pace is quick: you clear fights, grab items, and move on without getting stuck in puzzles for too long. The story is where Advent Dark Force tries to stand out, mainly because it offers multiple routes. Your choices and progression can lead you down different story paths, which makes it more replayable than a typical linear JRPG. The routes also change how you see certain characters, so doing more than one run can feel like you’re getting extra context rather than repeating the exact same plot. Presentation is very “anime JRPG”: expressive portraits, flashy skill animations, and a soundtrack that keeps things upbeat. Some parts show their budget, especially in environments and repetition, but the game usually makes up for it with charm and character interactions. If you like the cast, you’ll tolerate the rougher edges. Overall, Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force is a solid pick if you want a long, dialogue-heavy JRPG with customizable combat and multiple story outcomes. It’s not polished in every area, and dungeon design can feel plain, but the battle system and routes give it enough hook to stay engaging. If you’re already into this style of RPG, it’s an easy recommendation.
i'll start with the negatives because there are a few -the overworld and main hub is bland, it feels like how sega made sonic unleashed work on the wii versus xbox/playstation, overworld is flat and is essentially background images, its just point and click where to go, which makes it a lot less immersive, but its not really a isue due to another negative aspect we'll tackle in a bit -the combat IS fun but you start out in a grindy no-fun way and you basically only get good ways to grind character exp/weapon and skill etc exp after like the halfway point, its made intentionally that way but it IS rewarding by the end (especially fangs 2nd ult, force impact, but the way to get there takes a while, the combat movement when selecting the area your attacks hits is also very finnicky and you cant really get used to or gauge it imo -the movement... oh my god the movement is just so bad, the only way to remotely speed it up is dashing at breakneck speeds and its hard as balls to control the direction while also trying to avoid mobs -needs audio balancing for cui or the ability to turn cui off during battles, cuis screech is literally eardrum piercing if using earbuds -some mid-boss battles will overwrite other music, even the ult forme music that would normally overwrite the present battle theme, which is annoying (mostly since i just didnt personally vibe with the mid boss battle theme) now for the positives -very good OST, the godly revival selection OST is absolutely smashing -funny characters and interactions, even the NPC interactions felt like a progressively side story -the story is a little bit generic BUT it has some good twists, turns, character growth (character degeneration as well) and offers a whopping 3 routes so the replay value is great plus the NG+ gives you a lot of bonuses -attack animations are cool -if you put in the work you can even recruit select enemies -godly revival and by extension, world shaping, is interesting as a concept and allows for a bunch of mixing and matching your playstyle, theres some for everyone, really in conclusion: the game is IMO worth its price point and you'll get at least a good 45+ fun hours out of it even if theres some inarguably negative aspects about the world/traversal design philosophy
Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force
Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force, developed by IDEA FACTORY and COMPILE HEART and published by Idea Factory International, is a reworked and expanded version of a distinctly niche JRPG that leans heavily into anime sensibilities while layering in additional systems and branching narrative paths. It presents itself as both a traditional fantasy adventure and a self-aware, character-driven experience, blending lighthearted humor with moments of darker storytelling. Rather than reinventing the genre, it refines and enlarges its original foundation, offering more content and flexibility while retaining the same structural strengths and weaknesses that define many mid-tier Japanese role-playing games. The story centers on Fang, an unwilling hero whose motivations are initially driven more by selfish desires than noble ideals. His journey begins with the retrieval of powerful weapons known as Furies, remnants of an ancient conflict between a goddess and a malevolent deity. What starts as a relatively straightforward premise gradually evolves into something more complex, particularly through the multiple narrative routes introduced in this enhanced version. These branching paths significantly expand the scope of the story, offering alternate perspectives, darker developments, and different character arcs depending on the player’s decisions. While the early portions of the narrative are filled with comedic exchanges and familiar anime tropes, the later routes reveal a more serious and emotionally layered side of the game, rewarding those who commit to exploring its full structure. Combat is one of the game’s more engaging aspects, built around a turn-based system that incorporates free movement within a limited range. This allows for positional tactics, encouraging players to consider spacing, area-of-effect attacks, and combo potential rather than simply selecting actions from a menu. As characters grow stronger, the system opens up further through customizable combo chains, special abilities, and transformation mechanics that temporarily enhance a character’s power. These layers create a satisfying sense of progression, especially when players begin to understand how to optimize their setups. However, despite the variety of systems, combat can sometimes feel inconsistent in its challenge, with certain encounters becoming routine and others requiring sudden bursts of grinding to maintain balance. A defining feature of Advent Dark Force is its Fury placement system, which allows players to alter the conditions of dungeons by embedding weapons into specific locations. This mechanic can influence enemy strength, item drops, and environmental effects, effectively letting players tailor their experience to suit their needs. It is an inventive idea that adds a degree of customization to exploration, though it often feels underutilized in practice. While it has the potential to meaningfully shape gameplay, it rarely becomes essential, and many players may only engage with it on a surface level. The overall gameplay loop follows a familiar rhythm of exploring dungeons, completing objectives, returning to town, and advancing the story. While this structure is reliable, it does not always provide enough variety to sustain long-term engagement without some repetition setting in. Early sections in particular can feel formulaic, with similar environments and mission types appearing frequently. As more systems unlock and the narrative branches out, the experience becomes more dynamic, but the initial hours require patience before the game fully reveals its strengths. Visually, the game presents a mix of strong character design and more modest environmental detail. The characters are vibrant and expressive, supported by anime-inspired artwork that gives the cast a distinct personality. In contrast, the world itself can feel less detailed, with dungeons that sometimes lack variety and visual complexity. The soundtrack complements the experience well, shifting between playful and dramatic tones as needed, though it does not necessarily stand out as a defining element. Overall, the presentation reflects the game’s mid-budget origins—stylish in certain areas, but limited in others. What ultimately defines Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force is its sense of identity. It does not aim to compete with large-scale RPGs in terms of polish or innovation, but instead focuses on delivering a content-rich experience tailored to fans of anime-style storytelling and system-driven gameplay. The expanded routes, large cast, and layered progression systems provide a surprising amount of depth, and the ability to revisit the story from different angles adds meaningful replay value. At the same time, its reliance on familiar genre conventions and occasional pacing issues prevent it from reaching a broader appeal. In the end, Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force is a game that succeeds by understanding its audience. It offers a blend of humor, customization, and strategic combat that can be highly enjoyable for those who appreciate its style, even if it occasionally stumbles in execution. It may not be the most refined or groundbreaking RPG, but it provides a satisfying and often charming journey for players willing to engage with its systems and embrace its quirks. Rating: 8/10
Man If this game was a Visual Novel it'd be worth a lot to me, but the gameplay is just SO unsatisfying and annoying that I just can't play it anymore. The characters and dialogues are quite interesting and well made. But it's the damn gameplay that saturates it to rock bottom. This is literally the first game where I really enjoy the dialogues/characters but really hate the gameplay. Even if I reduced the difficulty and gave up on the "hard" achievement to skip the combats, I would definitely still hate it as a whole. It really pisses me off because I want to see more of the game because the dialogues are great. Also, You might get almost softlocked after the first map area(on HARD), where I was only level 4-5 and I could only fight low levels that granted very poor xp, and the "bosses" were level 10 or so, which took about 50 attempts to beat the easiest looking one (xp boost, 3 lv.10 fire birds, which always ended in a 1v3 because the first ally get's ko'd round 1). I'll check a video for the story, at least it won't piss me off.
Fun game, dialogs are well written and very entertaining. While it might be a bit grindy, it's still enjoyable.
