Fable Anniversary

Fable, to me, brings back childhood memories. I never really finished any of the Fable games before, so this was a first. The story was pretty straightforward and short, and the graphics were alright—nothing special. Where the game really shines is in its silly and innovative features. You wanna marry and have kids? Sure! You wanna be a landlord and make money? Go for it! You wanna take that money and gamble it all away so you have nothing left for your kids and four wives? Why not! You wanna buy all the apples and sell them to a single vendor to inflate and exploit the market for massive profits that you can then gamble away? Absolutely. You wanna sacrifice random people to the devil to get a strong bow? Sure—send your ungrateful child there too, why not. I’m gonna be straight up—the game is fun and dances perfectly on the line between serious and goofy, and I’m all for it. The 100% completion makes you play through all the content without being tedious, so that was great. Game: 6/10 100%: 8/10 I think I developed a gambling addiction…

Fun and a Amazing Game, would definitely recommend

This version is quite bad. 1. The UI is terrible, you have to navigate and click way more to see your stats, items, equip, reactions. The OG version was simple and fast. The boast quest menu is buggy and can't really chose what to boast since you can't see the mouse, there is no reject option only "End" and "accept" and its hard to check the list of boasts. (Edit : after playing 20hrs I figured that you can decline boasts by pressing "end" key.) 2. There is zero info about monsters (or very little), no deep explanation about what augmentations eg. "Health aug boost your health" ok.. but how much? can you stack?? Guess you have to research yourself elsewhere or experiment. 3. The game crashes from time to time so get used to save very often ( even with autosave on). 4. I had a hard time fixing the screen ratio and the camera moves extreemle fast (had to fix it too, Ty to all the people that write guides). 5. Some NPCs are buggy, in one gamplay Lady Gray does not interact/react to the heroe's expressions after marriage. If you are going to buy this game out of Nostalgia, do it so when its on sale, its not worth full price.

I prefer the original. Still a solid remaster.

Classic banger! Bows still suck though (aiming wise at least).

horrible controls. horrible camera. does not respect your time. combat is the worst aspect of the game, but is what you will be doing the most

I played this game for maybe 15 hours before I started having reliability issues. Now, the game will load up the title screen and immediately crashes as it transitions to the character select screen. What a waste of potential. I've asked for my money back so that I can buy the old "Fable: Lost Chapters" edition. Damn you, Molyneux!
