We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

F.E.A.R. 3 is simply a very boring linear shooter. The gunplay itself is fairly decent, and the weapons feel good to use. However, the enemies’ artificial intelligence is weak, and the game fails to create any interesting scripted action moments. Overall, it feels very easy, and there is no talk of any tactical element at all. One of the series’ signature features - "time slowdown" greatly simplifies the game here, removing any sense of challenge, whereas in the previous entries it did not feel like such an ultimate ability. The game includes several horror episodes that are not badly made on their own, but their atmosphere is ruined by the overall blockbuster nature of what is happening and the presence of coop. The story attempts to conclude the trilogy and expand its lore. However, the narrative is rather chaotic: the characters’ motivations and the events taking place are not always clear. The only reason to play F.E.A.R. 3 today is its unusual coop mode, which includes a couple of unique mechanics. Even then, the game is only worth buying at a very large discount.
A Distinct, Flawed Shooter Worth Your Time In a crowded shooter market, F.E.A.R. 3 distinguishes itself by blending horror and action into a uniquely chilling experience. While not without its flaws, it offers substantial content and inventive ideas that will satisfy both shooter fans and horror enthusiasts. The story picks up after F.E.A.R. 2, with the genetically enhanced Point Man tasked with stopping the powerful psychic entity Alma from giving birth. He is accompanied, and often hindered, by the ghostly Paxton Fettel. A standout feature is the ability to replay the campaign as Fettel, whose possession abilities provide a gameplay experience starkly different from Point Man's combat-focused style. This duality is further enhanced by full co-op support, online or local. Visually, the game is functional but dated, though its sound design excels in building a tense, frightening atmosphere. The eight-stage campaign is best experienced solo to maximize scares, though co-op offers a faster, more action-oriented alternative. Mechanically, the game is a solid, familiar FPS enriched by psychic powers like bullet time and possession. However, it is hampered by imprecise grenade mechanics and occasional AI glitches. Where F.E.A.R. 3 truly shines is in its inventive multiplayer. The four modes, each limited to four players, are refreshingly distinct. "Soul King" involves possessing enemies to collect souls, while "Contractions" is a wave-based survival mode. The highlights are the frantic "F**king Run," which forces teams to outpace a deadly smoke cloud, and "Soul Survivor," a tense infection-style game. All multiplayer and campaign progress feeds into a unified leveling system, rewarding play across all modes with persistent unlocks. Verdict F.E.A.R. 3 is a compelling package. Though its presentation and story aren't top-tier, the innovative dual-character campaign, robust co-op, and deeply creative multiplayer provide lasting appeal. It's a flawed but feature-rich shooter that delivers solid fun and genuine frights.
It was a decent coop shooter at the time. Not sure if it's still worth playing, but I had no regrets buying and playing it back in the day.
