Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 24 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

i would be okay with the game if it gave me the option to mute the dialog and skip the cut scenes but because i cant, i am unable to even recommend the game to anyone, as it could be good for a 20 min session but the awful voice acting without a way of muting and awkward camera just make the game frustrating
a cruel game, felt awful after it
How is it even possible to make a bad game by mixing Shadow of the Colossus with Attack on Titan ? I do not know, but Extinction managed to do just that. Repetitive and short procedurally generated missions that are basically all the same, meaningless and boring environments, movement mechanics that barely work yet are crucial to your objectives, clunky combat; this is all you'll get out of this dumpsterfire. I couldn't progress beyond the first half of the game because of a mission where I'm supposed to protect towers, except the game kept spawning giants on said towers, instantly destroying them...

It was a nice game tbh. I think skills need improvement or an improvement to kill mobs. It seems a bit dull after a while and a repetative. For 5 euros(that i found it) i can say it's worth it. I do recommend it in this price. I liked the attack on titan vibes(because you kill giants). It was a bit challenging on some occasions that broke my nerves.
Works well on Steam Deck. Only issueis cutscenes don't work. Really fun. Better Attack on Titan style game than the real thing. Only criticism is mobs are not fun to fight because the combat against them is pretty clunky.
Extinction portrays a desperate struggle for survival where humanity faces total annihilation at the hands of colossal ogre-like invaders known as the Ravenni. This ambitious premise initially suggests a thrilling experience of high-stakes heroism, yet the execution fails to maintain this intensity beyond the opening few hours of play. Traversing the environment represents the title's most successful element, as the sentinel protagonist moves with impressive speed across the rooftops. These fluid movement mechanics offer a brief sense of joy before the monotonous reality of the mission structure begins to erode any lingering enthusiasm for the game's expansive scale. Mission objectives unfortunately suffer from a severe lack of variety, often forcing players to engage in identical tasks throughout the entire campaign. Every sortie revolves around rescuing civilians and fending off the same predictable threats, which creates a stiflingly formulaic rhythm that completely drains the excitement from the central narrative. Resource management serves as the primary source of mechanical friction, specifically regarding the vital rune energy required for executing lethal strikes. Executions drain this reserve entirely, leaving the player vulnerable while struggling to gather more power, a design choice that makes defending cities feel like an exercise in futility. Combat sequences frequently descend into chaotic frustration because the precision required for complex encounters is sorely missing from the final product. Constant, unhelpful audio prompts from Xandra incessantly repeat warnings about the city's health, which only serves to exacerbate the irritation caused by the game's poorly balanced difficulty spikes. Awkward tutorials appear long after they are necessary, leaving players to decipher the clunky interface and upgrade systems during active combat. Such technical shortcomings highlight a broader lack of mechanical polish, which ensures that even the most promising encounters are perpetually hamstrung by issues that should have been resolved before release. Overall, the journey through these ruined cities proves to be an exhausting endeavour that fails to respect the player's time or effort. While the initial promise of fast-paced traversal provides a flicker of hope, the relentless repetition and unfair balancing make this an experience best left well alone by players.
Received this as a gift. I played through chapter 5 of 7 and like the game for it's simple hack-n-slash nature. The story is okay but would have liked an intermediate area to talk to NPCs (world-building) and maybe a sword upgrade system to try and up the damage incrementally (with harder enemies to go with it). You go from mission to mission and the story fills in at the start of each mission (static dialog). The dialogue is skippable if you don't care about the story except for a few cases where they have to state something. I wish all dialogue was immediately skippable especially when restarting missions to try and complete all objectives. Combat is decent, not much to it with simple mechanics like attack, dodge, and your main ability (Rune Strike). Overall I'd give it a 6.5/10 and recommend it for a time-killer hack-n-slash. I'd value it around $30 so try to find it on sale. What's good about it: - Mindless hack and slash that fills a need when you just want to tear stuff apart. - Large Attack on Titan like monsters you can slay and take apart with different types of armor. What I didn't like: - Some skills are locked as progression but should be mechanics you already know (like aerial recovery and dodge strike) - Some dialogue is unskippable: annoying when repeating missions - Targeting with main ability (Rune Strike) doesn't feel as fluid as I would have liked. Would like to have seen: - Better skippable dialogue - Better Rune Strike - trigger as many times as you want in mid-air. - Climb anything with a skill upgrade (climbing claws or something) - Sword upgrade system - Elements as part of the skill tree and toggleable modes in battle (switch to fire for this type of Ravenii etc.) - More world building - Xandra as a playable Sentinel with a different playstyle
