Tiny Wings with a ball. Tiny balls.
Crazy, trippy, beautiful, haunting…just a few words of what this game is to me. Think flight of the navigator meshed with marble madness with a story that don’t really matter if it makes sense or you get lost during the “telling” of it. It’s a pretty interesting space game where you pilot a marble…um…I mean a ship, I had fun for the hours I played. I ran this on a steam deck with the games options turned up to max to get the best visuals and gameplay, ran like a champ so don’t forget to max them settings up.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The first 3 hrs were really fun and a beautiful voyage through bizarre landscapes. But then I came to a point, where you have no steer and float control due the planet circomstances. Like in other reviewers it began very atmospheric and somewhat relaxing, what changed in frutrating gameplay. Nope, I don't like this anymore.
There are many movies disguised as games now-a-days where if you watched a gameplay footage, you don’t need to play it as there is no freedom. There are many levels to that, from just pure cutscenes to Quick Time Events to the worst offender where it feels like you have some freedom but the game only accepts one way of doing things. Those don’t qualify as games for me. Here, we are given very basic controls and said, go nuts, and you do go nuts. This was done while still keeping a great story intact. Then there are the other type of games which are basically dopamine-heavy where numbers go up, colors flash and the addiction part of your games like an addict goes, “Yes, more, more” and instead of you playing the game, the game starts playing you. With these games, you can’t put them down, you don’t feel satisfied in any ways and you just play because you are hooked. A game that leaves you with an experience that you want to sit back and reflect on life. Exo One, is a game that is really difficult to put in words but I will still give it a try. In one word, “Surreal,” and when you think it won’t get more surreal than this, it goes one level deeper. The gameplay of the game is there which in itself is a win. If I try to quantify this game on a scale, the scale will break. The visuals and sounds were so great that I cleaned my monitor in months and disabled and closed my room to enjoy this experience. I have not really thought how I will find a partner, if I even do in life, but this is going to be my test to see if we are aligned, to see if we belong together. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eykAPLJ5IQ
If you loved this game, go watch the Tree of Life Movie EXTENDED VERSION
Yup, as it says. For some reason while watching that movie I kept thinking about my experience with this game even though visually there isn't a similarity but thematically they are sort of linked.
Random stuff:

Raw thoughts while playing the game
[strong]CAUTION: Gamepad with Vibrationg REQUIRED BY LAW[/strong] You need a gamepad with half-decent vibration to enjoy the game. Without that force feedback I can assure you, the game won't feel as great.
Surreal - 10/10
It's hard to point out an emotion that you can associate with this game. I guess surreal is a word I use almost never and that clearly what it is.
Never cared about achievement hunting or just finishing the game
Update: Just figured out that by default the achievements are set to silent as it should be. This game made me question about "just beating games" or "achievement hunting" strategies instead of actually enjoying the game that is at hand. I didn't give zero f***s about achievements or getting the next shiny thing in the game at all. I was enjoying it for it was. It's an absolute masterpiece that you don't want to end. I had to force myself to stop but it's not a rogue-lite so I am not doing the same thing over and over again, it will finish, and I am fine with that.
Game looks so good that I cleaned my monitor
The scenes in this games are just on another level and this is the first time in months I actually cleaned my monitor because I wanted to enjoy the game as it.
Ubisoft should learn from this
Make the game mechanics and the world such that one wants to take the longer route instead of fast-travel. Not once in this game I felt, "Oh! That's too far away," I was always excited to attempt what it is.
Movies disguised as stories should learn from this
All you need was a good mechanic and the game follows. It has a very gripping story that doesn't get in your way. They give you very small bit of the story and then sit back and tell you to go nuts and enjoy the ride.
I am glad I ended Competitive Games to play this
Few years ago, after spending thousand of hours in CS I saw the hours spent in game and started to question how much was it actually enjoyable or fulfilling and ever since that with a lot of difficulty I have been picking up games after games from many many genres and this is the first game that has truly made me appreciate the right decision to stop playing competitive games. Moving from Dopamine induced games to other Seratonine and other chemicals is a great experince. I made a friend who mainly plays CS all day, play this game and he couldn't appreciate it and immediately went back to CS. He is hooked onto CS so much so that when his life now demands he stop playing games, he can't stop. He feels terrible about it, but he can't stop. That's what dopamine first games like roguelites, roguelikes, management, PvP, Live Service, MMoRPG, farming sims and other sims games does to you. You might be having a terrible expereince in those games or just an average one but if you keep playing those games long enough, your brain gets wired in a certain way and starts demaing certain rewards both in games and ooutside of it to the piont that anything other including other genres of games and real life starts feeling bland. I'm glad I stopped uploading game live-streams, playthoughs, boss fights, PvP clips and funny game clips and moved into what Gaming actually is and started a discussion about it.
Liked: - Fun premise - Beautiful environments - Satisfying movement - Collectibles are fun but not distracting Disliked: - Losing momentum can be frustrating - Story was a bit barebones
Love this game. It makes me feel free.
Fun until it takes the fun away and stuffs you into a hamster ball that you cant see out of and cant move. Why would you ruin a fun mechanic by forcing that ♥♥♥♥ on me. i got immovably stuck in a crack or something twice before i gave up and uninstalled.
More of an experience than a game. But what an experience!
