Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 22 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
An ongoing apocalyptic meteor shower has forced the world’s population to settle underground. As Shell, a feline child who awakens to find her mother missing, you will drill downward into the depths to discover a hidden subterranean world and its inhabitants: tormented creatures with an uncertain past.
This narrative exploration and platform game inspired by 16-bit aesthetics will take you back to the simplicity and excitement of the classics of that era. There’s a vibrant and dynamic world to explore, and lots of peculiar characters to meet and varied puzzles to solve. Will you discover the secrets hidden in the Everdeep?
As you descend, your decisions determine Shell’s route through the depths, from secret caverns to sprawling underground dwellings.
Encounter characters along the way with unique personalities and, sometimes, optional side quests.

Atmospheric pixel art and an evocative soundtrack, with palettes and musical themes shifting from one location to the next.

+ lovely art direction + funny and cute characters and interactions + good controls overall - the biggest problem with this game is how much potential it has but it doesn't do anything with it, the sense of progression is almost non existent! you collect materials to upgrade your drill but you don't feel anything different after, you collect so many useless items that adds nothing, everything feels unrewarding. the game length is perfect for it to make every upgrade noticeable without breaking the game, but the progression feels like it's designed for 10+ hours game that is very conservative in awarding the player early

I'm not sure how to describe this other than a "cozy platformer," which is a little awkward for a few reasons - it isn't strictly /cozy/ because it's about the end of the world and the characters occasionally say light swears like "damn!" But also it's not really just a platformer because while you traverse by mining and jumping and there's lots of platforming sections, it's also an exploration and story game? But most of the time you're hanging out with fuzzy animal friends and cute frogs and the like, digging for treasure and exploring to find your next objective. So in that sense the core loop is "cozy" but with a *slight* edge. Like, it's the kind of game where if you get stuck you can just call on your frog friend to come take you back to the last save and the cutest animation in the world plays. It's the kind of game where you're a cat who, when talking to characters who speak in sentences and paragraphs, only says "mew." It's the kind of game where looking for your next objective (and mining your way to it) is the bulk of your time, but there's also dungeons with stricter platforming and goals (like getting fireflies to follow you in the dark to power generators that light up the area). It's cute! But it's got a slight edge! It's cozy! But it occasionally asks slightly more of you! It's wistful and sad, but full of heart! It helps that it looks really nice; the monotone palette that changes based on the region you're in combined with the pops of red really look nice. And it sounds sweet. If any of this sounds up your alley, take a look.
I loved how the game looked from the start; it was cute, charming, and it looked like it had a lot of promise. Gameplay wise though, it never really expands much. There's a lack of polish, notable in the sluggish menuing for your items, upgrade dialogue still repeating despite maxing it out, and a map that constantly resets and feels insufficient. The plot wasn't something that ever grabbed onto me either, and I got tired enough of trying to re-explore and find things that I ended up dropping the game entirely. Especially for $20, I unfortunately can't recommend it.
Basic Premise: -- Your a small cat named Shell. You get a drill to dig underground to find your mom. You meet many NPCs along your way and learn more about the world around you. Design: -- The colors in this pixel game are easy on the eyes are not overwhelming. This is important to me because I find limited color palettes confuse my eyes and I didn't run into that problem here. I also like that the colors change with the environment! This was a good choice since staring at a small palette for a long period of time can get boring - so the switch up keeps it exciting. The character designs are wonderful and practically each npc you run into are easy to tell apart. You can meow whenever you want. Difficulty: -- I didn't have any issues playing this game. Gameplay: -- Pretty basic, and I don't mean this in a negative way. Your main goal is digging, and you'll be doing lots of it. Some NPCs will have quests for you which will sometimes require you to go back towards the surface. Some people may find this annoying, so be aware of that. Overall: -- I've gotten the bare basic ending so far, and I plan to return to see what my other options are :) It was a nice time and I anticipated seeing what color palette we'll see when going to a new area. If you're after something comfy, I recommend!
Cute little platformer with a "make your own path" mechanic in the form of a Drill

The Pixel-Art is very well done and I liked it quite a lot
The atmosphere and music are pretty good too
My gripes with this game are elsewhere, I understand how someone can like this game but I find it odd that they overlooked the following :

Dialogue Variety : I'm unsure how to properly describe it, but this coupled with the fact that some forced dialogue conversation triggers by just walking in front of the NPC made me dislike some part of it, it makes the NPCs feel VERY shallow at times
Endings : I will not elaborate as that would be a spoiler, but I genuinely had to pull out a guide just to check if the ending was that bad, The "True" ending doesn't really feel very fulfilling
20 price tag : I finished the game in 5 hours without "feeling" like I overlooked the sidequests, maybe I have like another 2 to 3 hours of sidequesting, if the price tag scares you a little bit, I wouldn't recommend

Some smaller points I would like to mention is the absolutely horrid inventory management/UI, it's not that bad but scrolling through the inventory gets old very fast
You can Meow in this game, it doesn't really do anything

What I did not find gripes with is

No auto-save, you need to go to a camp to save : while this could have made me give a negative point, this is SUCH a non-issue in that game, (especially given the playtime it gets )
Not very challenging platformer : it's ok for some games to be 'chill' and not have tedious/hard platforming sections ( Path of Pain Hollow Knight ), I AM a bit sad about this game lack of difficulty but I don't think this should be counted as a demerit
A pretty short experience. The art and music of it all are so much fun. A little bit buggy but overall a good time. I dont know that I will play it again but I had a good time going through it.
Very beautiful game with charming character designs, but lacks any gameplay or exploration elements to keep it engaging. The platforming feels okay at best, the writing struggles to engage you in its characters or plot, and its polish is severely lacking. Had to quit after I clipped into the floor and was trapped, which fully deflated any enjoyment I was eking out of the game 'til that point. A shame, because it's a very beautiful game, with gorgeous music.
I have to say, i adore this game in its own special way. Gameplay is nothing really complicated, you mostly just drill and jump, its simple enough, however every other aspect was great, game is quite short i got all the endings under 6 hours so you have to decide whenever buy it full price or wait for sale . Cheers
Words are not enough to describe the pure feeling this game and its music bring to me. Thank you
