Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 20.86/day in the week to Aug 11 → 25.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Esoteric Ebb is an isometric, Disco-like, TTRPG-turned-CRPG set in a bizarre post-Arcanepunk fantasy setting. You are The Cleric, an expert in esoteric events, and a glorified government goon. Inspired by classic CRPG games, Esoteric Ebb features deep and branching dialogs with a staggering amount of choices.
Create the world’s worst cleric. Take on the city through tense TTRPG dice rolls. Struggle to maintain control with your Stats chiming in at every moment. Let the voices guide you into insane encounters and hit that natural 20 right when you need it. Become the most interesting player at the table and completely ruin your DM’s day.
Five days until the first-ever election, a tea shop explodes in the heart of the city. They send you to deal with the mess.
You wake up in a morgue with half the river in your boots, surrounded by ten thousand rotting apples, several corpses, and one zombie. Out of your depth and with no official backup, you delve into your beloved city to investigate the impossible mystery no one wants you to solve. Juggle factions and play them against each other. Explore the streets and tunnels of a fantasy metropolis. Debate devils, drunk sphinxes, and all manner of fantastical fools in a world where mythological creatures sell newspapers at corner shops and ideologies overtake the ramblings of dead gods.

Don’t forget the most important question: What are you voting in the election?
MAKE CHOICES THAT WILL COME BACK TO BITE YOU. Shifting alliances! Risky dungeoneering! Complete open-ended quests, low and high-stakes alike, set in the streets, towers, and dark tunnels of Norvik. Become the city’s savior, its demise, or bumble your way into absolute power.
TRUST THE DICE. Let chance guide you! Roll to wrestle dwarves, steal anything in sight, or to keep yourself from looking like a complete fool. But remember, in true TTRPG fashion, failure can often be way more interesting.

IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD. Debate yourself! Each Ability Stat has a conflicting viewpoint and loves to interrupt important conversations. No matter whose side you fall on, you'll complete quests in wonderfully ridiculous ways.

WIELD REALITY-SHAPING MAGIC. Use The Cleric’s power for unique narrative choices. Control minds for fun and profit. Detect secrets in the tunnels below or in the thoughts of your enemies. Speak with anyone, living or dead, just to see how they insult you.

TURN-BASED ENCOUNTERS. Clerics in Norvik are taught to use violence as a last resort. When the need does arise, a roll of the dice determines life or death. But you always have a bizarre solution to any problem, don’t you?

THE QUESTING TREE. Your quest log, skill tree, and mind map all at once. Each Quest Branch can take root in your mind and alter The Cleric’s playstyle through game-changing feats.

I have a charismatic goblin as a best friend, a celestial being as my new girlfriend and a new scarf. I would say it’s a 10/10 game 👍
I loved my experience with EE. It caught me off-guard, repeatedly making me lose track of time. One time I wanted to play “just 15 more minutes” and I was shocked it turned out to be an hour. It felt like a moment. I enjoyed talking, exploring, “beholding”, the character designs, the humor (I was laughing without the slightest hint of irony, just having a good time), the role-playing, the companions, the story structure, the spells, the secrets, the dice rolls, the mysteries, and how uncomfortable I was at times with my characters’ role in this setting. I loved how much time you get to put into experiencing the content, and how quickly you can move around once you learn all the different shortcuts. The game wastes maybe 1% of your time, the rest is just playing. Fantastic. I avoided save-scamming (I’m slowly getting better at this) and felt rewarded for accepting my failures and greater friction. I used consumables. I felt fine not picking some dialogue options as I didn’t want them to represent my character’s personality. I was alright with not solving a few quests, as I felt they were, actually, kind of evil. Some people will bounce off from the very lefty undertones in the game’s politics, but definitely not me. And I felt great making my character both mine, and a part of this world - not just a mover and shaker, but also someone made by their circumstances. What I dislike about Esoteric Ebb ought to be labeled as “personal taste, who cares”. 1) I care about music in games a lot, and I don’t like EE’s tunes, nor how they’re looped at times. 2) I don’t enjoy long lore dumps, so I was skipping massive chunks of dialogues, hurting my own experience - but there are folks who enjoy clearly outlined settings with a grand sense of place and history, and EE definitely utilizes all its hard labor. It is, in parts, a story of social conflicts, long-lasting animosities, and grudges. You can’t be vague about them if you want them to land. 3) I don’t appreciate the more conventional parts of the writing... but that’s because I loved the more silly, unhinged, clever bits, being both risky and meta-playful. And trying to anchor this madness in cohesive, more predictable structures is completely fine, balancing even. I gueees there are some more objective issues. Some UI stuff, like the shops not telling you the stats of the items on display. Or the glitches, like mistakenly looped animations. Or there’s a bit that clearly was too expensive to make while also being very optional and irrelevant, so it’s replaced with dark screen and text, no images. Nothing too important. Nothing I’d care about. I don’t care if it’s better or worse than DElysium, I don’t care if it fixes the mistakes of Planescape: Torment. The 25 hours I had with this game is something that will follow me for long, making me growingly curious how many amazing RPGs are still just behind the corner.

might just be the successor to Disco Elysium. The characters are rich, the story is very good, and the DM doesnt railroad you. Very cool to see a small studio come up with such a great game.
A gorgeous adventure in the vein of Disco Elysium without being derivative and an outstanding achievement in investing you in a fantasy world through dialogue alone. Lots of colourful characters and a streamlined but still intensely rewarding stat system, coupled with exploration and a magic system that gives you options in dire situations makes for a compelling and very funny ride.
This game was awesome.
Are you a fan of Dungeons and Dragons, or any other tabletop roleplaying game? Did you find any amount of enjoyment in Disco Elysium? Are you interested in a unique, richly developed world with extensive lore that combines novelty and familiarity to create something completely unique? Play this game! It is well worth the price for an experience unlike anything else. You might come away from it fundamentally changed, as you explore themes of politics, capitalism, gender identity, marginalized societies, and most of all, religion. After all, you are THE Cleric. Play the game, and go in as blind as you can and take some notes along the way.

This game... at first, I don't take it that seriously, as in "this game is surprisingly funny and fun, there's a lot to explore" but towards the end it left me feeling like I get something, a lot of something out of this game. Just buy it.
**edited review because i just realised the publisher is Raw Furry. T . T <3 Absolutely dripping with personality. They also published Dome Keeper, one of my all-time favourite games. The amount of care, passion, and craftsmanship that's gone into their games really shows. I picked up Esoteric Ebb because I was looking for something to fill the hole that Disco Elysium left after I finished it, and this absolutely hit the mark. The story is fantastic, but what really sets this game apart is the writing. It's not just walls of dialogue you're clicking through every conversation has personality. The sarcasm lands, the banter feels natural, and even the little throwaway comments add so much charm to the world and its characters. You can tell this game was made with genuine love and attention to detail. Every interaction feels carefully written, making the world feel alive instead of just existing to move the plot forward. It genuinely feels like playing through an incredible D&D campaign with a talented DM who knows exactly when to let the characters bounce off each other. If you're chasing that same feeling Disco Elysium gave you, a world that's fascinating to explore, with brilliant writing and characters you actually want to talk to. Esoteric Ebb is an easy recommendation. It's obvious just how much love has gone into every part of this game, and it deserves all the praise it gets.
Made me feel feels the way that Disco Elysium did. 11/10
