Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 20.86/day in the week to Aug 11 → 25.71/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Esoteric Ebb is an isometric, Disco-like, TTRPG-turned-CRPG set in a bizarre post-Arcanepunk fantasy setting. You are The Cleric, an expert in esoteric events, and a glorified government goon. Inspired by classic CRPG games, Esoteric Ebb features deep and branching dialogs with a staggering amount of choices.
Create the world’s worst cleric. Take on the city through tense TTRPG dice rolls. Struggle to maintain control with your Stats chiming in at every moment. Let the voices guide you into insane encounters and hit that natural 20 right when you need it. Become the most interesting player at the table and completely ruin your DM’s day.
Five days until the first-ever election, a tea shop explodes in the heart of the city. They send you to deal with the mess.
You wake up in a morgue with half the river in your boots, surrounded by ten thousand rotting apples, several corpses, and one zombie. Out of your depth and with no official backup, you delve into your beloved city to investigate the impossible mystery no one wants you to solve. Juggle factions and play them against each other. Explore the streets and tunnels of a fantasy metropolis. Debate devils, drunk sphinxes, and all manner of fantastical fools in a world where mythological creatures sell newspapers at corner shops and ideologies overtake the ramblings of dead gods.

Don’t forget the most important question: What are you voting in the election?
MAKE CHOICES THAT WILL COME BACK TO BITE YOU. Shifting alliances! Risky dungeoneering! Complete open-ended quests, low and high-stakes alike, set in the streets, towers, and dark tunnels of Norvik. Become the city’s savior, its demise, or bumble your way into absolute power.
TRUST THE DICE. Let chance guide you! Roll to wrestle dwarves, steal anything in sight, or to keep yourself from looking like a complete fool. But remember, in true TTRPG fashion, failure can often be way more interesting.

IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD. Debate yourself! Each Ability Stat has a conflicting viewpoint and loves to interrupt important conversations. No matter whose side you fall on, you'll complete quests in wonderfully ridiculous ways.

WIELD REALITY-SHAPING MAGIC. Use The Cleric’s power for unique narrative choices. Control minds for fun and profit. Detect secrets in the tunnels below or in the thoughts of your enemies. Speak with anyone, living or dead, just to see how they insult you.

TURN-BASED ENCOUNTERS. Clerics in Norvik are taught to use violence as a last resort. When the need does arise, a roll of the dice determines life or death. But you always have a bizarre solution to any problem, don’t you?

THE QUESTING TREE. Your quest log, skill tree, and mind map all at once. Each Quest Branch can take root in your mind and alter The Cleric’s playstyle through game-changing feats.

I like the CRPG and DnD elements. I think it could be better if it were fully voiced but maybe it will get that when it comes to consoles. The humor is pretty snarky, the animations are beautiful, but the main character can't seem to run which makes him look like he's moving in slow motion.

I don't post reviews, usually, but this is a fantastic game which pulled me in and didn't let me go. It's a love letter to D&D sessions and tabletop games in general. I greatly enjoyed the concept of failing onward, which quite often resulted in situations that made me laugh - a rare feat in games these days. Buy it!
Not quite sure yet. I thought it would be more DND oriented. Yes theres a rotating D20 but essentially any statistics based RPG can work with t he d20 sysyem, life itself could operate on the d20 system and we wouldnt even know. EXTREMELY SLOW BORING START. I wanted to play some DND not a disco elysium clone. Will update when and if it gets fun (for me) It feels llike a disco elysium clone with no voice acting. I liked disco elysium but i got bored. I liked the mechanics but i didnt love them. Im trying to be a cleric.. i dont really feel like a cleric. If youre unfaithful you lose your powers (normally). I dont like detective games.. i want to be a cleric with a mace.. not a detective. I watched a review online that said to go in blind and i did... im paying for it now.. haha. I was told to go in blind with the card game Inscryption and got excited when i heard that. Let down so far. I'll force myself to keep going... im too far in to refund.. the thought is strong though. So far this would make a good goosbumps choose your own adventure book, id like this game as a book instead i think. Politics are annoying and tiresome... this game is fictional but politics are ideas that are real life also. I feel like im fighting people online playing it. I want to like the game... I mentioned i dont like detective games.. Disco Elysium was more than that... just not enough more to hold my interest. I figured the dnd would make up for that. I'm a stat cruncher with rpgs.. my obsession is being more powerful than the game wants me to be. My least favourite part of RPGs as i get older is when i get to a large city believe it or not.. i think.. ahhh crap.. no action and alot of remembering for a while. better go to bed so i can obsorb this tomorrow. Still playing though.. The whole of this game is like encountering a large city in another rpg just instead of it being an hour of the game... you cant escape.
My original thoughts on seeing this game as a "Disco-like" was negative, or at least I didn't think it had a chance of being as good as Disco and would fall flat in several areas. I won't say the quality of writing was on a Disco level, but I found the same level of enjoyment from it. An ESOTERIC experience. Truly worth playing.
That game,...it...is...just...terrific!!! Ok, deep breaths... Where to begin? I love "Dungeons and Dragons". I love roleplaying of any kind...but D&D, that's special in my heart. I absolutely loved "Disco Elysium". Loved also "Baldur's Gate 3". ...and then comes along "Esotric Ebb". A perfect mix? I would say, try it and judge for yourself! I really wasn't sure at first when buying it. Don't know why. Maybe the goofy look? But as soon as I fired up the game, I had a good feeling about it. I was not mistaken. The story is enthralling. I could feel the Dungeon Master animating all that just for me. I wanted to know more, I wanted to discover this world, I wanted to solve this intrigue. I could play my character as silly, naive, heroic and ridiculous, just as I like. My character felt like he was part of this fantastic world. The NPCs were marvelous. Really liked the variety and their personality. The dialogs were just perfect. And the dialog choices felt very interesting and rewarding. Never have I felt cornered by them thinking that my character would never say this or that. This is great. This is not always the case in games (far from it). I usually feel a complete disconnect between what i want my character to say or do and what a game offers. Not in this one. It felt so good. The art is beautiful (felt like D&D). The music is marvelous, subtle and perfectly suited for the game. I had a little tear at the corner of my eye at the end (ok, more than one!). What a beautiful ending. I'm sure there will be a followup (let's hope!), but for now I am really happy with what I experienced in this game. Thank you Christoffer Bodegard. Oh yeah and at the end of the adventure...I got a date with an Orc lady, a Bugbear lady and an Angel lady (she does not like to be called that, so let's say a Celestial lady). Life is good for THE cleric! ...a date with a Celestial!!!
