All controls theoretically work with either controller or KB&M. In reality some only work with one and some work only with the other while a few work with both buuuuuuut really don't And the constant switching is annoying. The game story is... poor. Combat isa dumb, consisting of a series of golf meters and wait till it's aimed correctly skill tests, all of which are on one timer that ends your turn if you are still waiting for things to line up. Movement is basic and boring. Terrain has no bearing on anything I saw in my brief exposure. There is no sneaking and combat is completely removed from any terrain effects. The music is annoying form second one. Just everything here is bad. Do not waste your time on this demo or your money on this game. Sorry devs. I'd wish you better luck next time but this level of universal badness isn't a luck thing. Obviously, I do not recommend this ga... err.. demo.

ART " SciFi " Not for me. Thanks for the into to find this out :)
Where to start. Let's talk about the intro sequence before even entering the game. It's not only long, but you can't skip it. At all. To get to the screen in order to even start a new game. Cool, Exposition, however I don't know if on subsequent plays if the cutscene is still unable to be skipped, because you can't Pay me to replay this horrid game. The Control schema in the actual maps isn't too terrible, however the hold-click to move has pathing issues where a single thing in the way stops the character from moving instead of finding a way around it. Seriously, a 1x1 block with nothing around it kept me from moving to the location past it. Then let's talk about the Battle sequences. Timers are fine, to a point. Your Bar to Hit the Accuracy spot isn't difficult to hit, however the timing doesn't work well with the timer in the corner. You have to "Get Lucky" to get a quick alignment unless you spend what feels like All of your points in the beginning on Interface speed. Then there's the Non skip-able Tutorials, which makes no sense because it asks you if you want one or not. Apparently pressing no means absolutely nothing. And there's so many single modals that stops you from doing Anything EXCEPT CLICK THE SCREEN. Then going from point to point just seems repetative. I was forced to remove an item from my character post battle when I didn't have an interest in doing so, and then trying to equip something, even though the game told me what to do, it wouldn't progress to allow me to do the thing (equip an item) until I closed that notification, when removing an item doesn't. So, Not even in the same realm of being cohesive. Maybe it just being a Prequel to the main game, but if this feels like a shoddy program rushed out the door. Retro or not, I remember games with the same similar style that came out in the 80's and 90's that have better flow and structure than this game. IF this is any indication of the game play loop, It's not worth buying into the full game.

5/10 RPG/clicker in sci-fi alien setting TLDR: Looks like a mish-mash of different mechanics that don't match well. E.g. the combat here is about clicking a button at the moment when a slider moves through a pair of triangles. Onboarding is not great and the visuals/audo are largely a turn-off despite the intriguing story. A neutral vote Good: - free (prologue) - story starts off good with an XCom vibe - a seemingly developed system of RPG stats and equipment So-so: - graphic could be called stylish or atrocious depending on your approach or mood. It's big pixels and an 8 bit palette that probably will appeal to fans of NES era, like late 1980s - audio was pretty annoying to me, with sounds also from late 1980s - there is an isometric view of levels however it's mostly decorative because the actual combat takes place in a separate screen. There you just do clicks that have to be precisely timed - the tutorial is there but it's hard to follow. Mostly likely, the game wasn't playtested (enough) Bad: - actually nothing, though I felt this strange aversion to the game pretty early. I wonder if it's the gfx, the audio or the annoying time-based clicking, or the false resemblance with Fallout-like RPG games? Maybe it's all of it together

[th]I'm a Steam curator, you can follow me[/th]

good game but when i tab out and tab back in the game thinks i'm using a controller and forces my mouse to the bottom of the screen which gets me killed ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fix it (you can fix the issue by playing in windowed mode but i'm still salty)
This is the kind of game I'd have grinded to dust back in my old Pentium 1 with a Voodoo2 machine. Nowadays, it's more like the kind of project I'd rather be on the dev side, and hopefully one day I'll have published a game not unlike this one. I hope it keeps on growing. I might come back to properly grind it to dust after a few more chunky updates.
Expected turn based combat - got weird clicking around on moving symbols combat.. Game looks really interessting, but the combat is pretty aweful.
