About

Endless Sky is a 2D space trading and combat game inspired by the classic Escape Velocity series. Work your way up from a relatively wimpy shuttle, cargo ship, or fighter, to a highly upgraded and customized flagship. Grow your fleet while exploring an expansive galaxy with hundreds of systems. Earn money by carrying passengers or cargo, escorting convoys, bounty hunting, mining asteroids, or plundering and capturing enemy ships.

Enter the 31st century and choose from one of multiple starting locations and backgrounds where you set out on your own journey as the captain of a new ship. Take sides in a civil war, or ignore the story line and just enjoy exploring the galaxy at your own pace. The main story line alone takes about 8-16 hours to play through, with over a hundred hours worth of story content spread across the galaxy in the form of other story lines both big and small.

The game's content can be added to using the plugin system, which allows anyone with a text editor and a paint program to create new ships, weapons, missions, and more to the game. All of the game's content is built using the same system, so anything you see in the vanilla game can be done in a plugin. The capabilities of plugins are fully documented on our GitHub wiki.

Endless Sky is free, open source, and cross platform (Windows, Mac, and Linux). The game has been developed for over 10 years as a labor of love from hundreds of volunteer contributors. Updates occur regularly with three major updates every year. Over time, the game will continue to expand as contributors add new missions, story lines, alien species, places to explore, sound effects, artwork, gameplay mechanics, quality-of-life improvements, and more.

Fun game that unexpectedly sucked me in and is community developed. Give it a try. This settlement needs no help.
A perfectly baked experience. I croiss-can't stop playing!
This game made me understand that infinitely respawning pirates is the true solution to finding renewable energy sources

Lots of fun, good balance between realism and appeal, not overly detailed in any one area without expansiveness in another. For instance, the credits system is super basic, not really explanatory of currency conversions based on planetary resource models, but the credits simplicity allows for whole systems of stars' planets to offer appealing mystery gameplay, fighting off pirates and rebels on the way to larger and more mysterious trading runs and missions, without getting mired down in economic masterclasses of arbitrary complexity. The missions are really fun, and the trading system is balanced against the fighting system very well. The plugins and expansion system looks very inviting, as well.
i was operating a fancy space taxi operation with the occasional illegal smuggling job and was making millions until i took the odd job from the free worlds and i found myself becoming a militia for the rebels, transporting most wanted people, escorting dangerous supply runs, and taking part in the war against the republic navy. 10/10 accidentally became a revolutionary would play again
Love it!!
Early game is a little tedious but it gets very fun. :)
It's a really neat game, probably one of my favorite 2D Space Trading Sim games out there (or whatever the genre is called, IDK) There's a lot of options, and the gameplay just flows really nicely. You'll promise to play the game for an hour or two then spend all day/night trading, delivering, shuttling, mining, fighting your way to more riches and more powerful ships and larger fleets. There's also an amazing amount of plugins available from the community, from simple QoL stuff to expansions adding new ships, weapons, equipment, and even storyline from what I've seen. Also, it;s completely free, so there's really no reason to not play this if you like the genre.
Apesar de estar em versão beta, já tem muito. A única coisa que falta é um modo história, nem que seja para introduzir as mecânicas presente no jogo. Ótimo jogo casual.
Very good Game
