Heroes don't always wear capes.
Emil's journey showed us a heartbreaking story of salvation during the Second World War, through the eyes of a little boy. Imagining himself and his father as superheroes, and the Nazis as monsters, our hero had no choice but to run. Run without looking back through fields, forests, cow pastures, hiding behind bushes and stones and even pretending to be dead. First of all, I would like to note that this is a free project and it was made with soul. The graphics are amazing for such a simple game. However, unfortunately there is no optimization. At first I thought that there was a cap of 60 fps, but it turned out that my GPU simply couldn’t produce more. But it did not affect the emotions of the game at all. I strongly recommend everyone to play this game and experience this whole palette of terrifying emotions. Such things should be remembered and never forgotten. The game has an interesting art style and score. The story is one that many shared in one of humanities darkest times. Unfortunately for me i found the mechanics rather poor for me to consider buying the full game and i've had more than enough media covering ww2 to last a lifetime for it to be interesting enough to buy it. That said for people who like the ww2 genre in games you might wanna have a crack in it. Sadly its just not for me.

The game has a great storyline as it is based on real events. What I like most is the beautiful graphics, but the character animation is not very smooth. Overall, it's a great game worth playing.
A wonderful game! I would like to continue the story about this boy or about other children of that time.
Um jogo curto com um enrredo que aperta o coração, a mensagem que o jogo passa é extremamente forte, parabéns ao time de devs pelo projeto! A short game with a heart touching story, the message that the game give us is extremely strong, congratulations to the dev team for this project!
Зупинився саме я, на етапі де потрібно було блок перенести до стінки, але не задалось тому розробникам гри бажаю натхнення на виправку багів
its made very poorly.
Muito interessante, gostaria de ver a versão completa
Very nice. Its a copy of the games Limbo and Inside, but honestly, I like those silent story type of games, and the 2d side-scrolling play tends to work well with this mechanic. The story here has a real historic root, and comes with photos of the man this game's story is based on. You play him as a child in Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia, and you're escaping the occupied land. There's a part where a cow is used twice to progress further. I really liked that touch. This is only a demo... a prologue... for a much bigger game. The only negative is... when you play as the boy when he's not in "super hero mode", the climbing/jumping is a bit awkward and takes several tries. I kept wondering if this was done on purpose, because when you play him as super hero boy in the beginning, the controls work just fine... and then its like... welcome to reality... climbing up that cliff is not as easy as we made it in fantasy land, and you're not in super hero mode so... It's one of those things that make me wonder if this is pure genius, or spectacular buggy programming that adds depth to the game... like a bethesda game.
Thumbs up for the idea and warmth this short flick has. Reminiscent of Kavalier & Clay. Would love to play the full release.
