Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 10.14/day in the week to Aug 26 → 18/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Discover the next chapter of the legendary Elite saga. Elite Dangerous is the definitive massively multiplayer space epic, bringing gaming’s original 1984 open world adventure to the modern generation with a seamless, connected galaxy, a player‑shaped evolving narrative, and the entire Milky Way recreated at full galactic scale.
Against this vast backdrop, take to the stars in your own starship and do whatever it takes to survive in an ever-changing futuristic galactic sandbox. Acquire wealth and power, develop your skills and knowledge, and earn the right to stand tall among the ranks of the iconic Elite.
In an age of galactic superpowers and interstellar war, your story influences the connected experience and handcrafted evolving narrative. From discovering new worlds, to exhilarating space combat and a fully-realised economy for trade, the galaxy is waiting.

The 400-billion star systems of the Milky Way form the vast and dynamic stage for Elite Dangerous' open-ended gameplay. Constructed using real astronomical data, the stars, planets, moons, asteroid belts, and black holes of our galaxy are rendered at true galactic scale. Chart a course through star systems never before visited by other Commanders and explore the surface of strange and unfamiliar worlds with a Surface Recon Vehicle.

Over 35 distinct spacecraft are ready for you to command, from lightweight exploration vessels to gigantic behemoths ready for battle. Build a diverse collection of ships and outfit them to match your playstyle. Customise every component, weapon and optional module to enhance and alter your ships’ capabilities.

Hunt, explore, fight, mine, smuggle and trade across the galaxy. Forge your path solo or with up to three friends in a Wing. Join a Squadron full of like-minded Commanders and share the highs and lows of your interstellar adventures together.
With the System Colonisation mechanic, the power to claim and expand your very own star systems is in your hands. Whether creating a thriving new economy, a bustling trade hub, or a new port of operations, the galaxy awaits your vision.

The Elite Dangerous galaxy revolves around players’ actions. In an age of galactic superpowers and interstellar war, every player’s personal story influences the space simulation and handcrafted, evolving narrative.
Co-operate with fellow Commanders in pivotal Community Goal events that can permanently alter the state of the galaxy, earning exclusive rewards and recognition for your contribution in the process.
Align with a galactic superpower and alter the interstellar landscape with Powerplay. Support your power or undermine a rival through a variety of means, from hacking starport advertisements to attacking gigantic Stronghold Carriers. Every contribution matters.

Experience unpredictable encounters with other players in a vast, massively multiplayer space. Experience the connected galaxy alone in Solo mode or with players across the world in Open Play, where every pilot you face could become a trusted ally or your deadliest enemy.

The universe of Elite Dangerous continues to grow and expand with new features and content. Regular major updates provide new opportunities and gameplay for you to discover and change the way you play.
Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Epic publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

I'm an avid space simmer, 2k hours in Kerbal Space, 1,200 hours in X4 Foundations, 1,100 hours in Space Engineers, 800 hrs in NMS, so I'm used to my fair share of "jank''. But ED takes the cake! Not one, but TWO game breaking bugs in the character creator screen and am left to trouble shoot on my own. Are the other games I listed off, "buggy''?. You bet! but at least they LAUNCH and don't crash under the weight of their own menus, lol no thanks. Can't remember how much I spent on this game, can't return, as it sat in my library for years. COOL!! Hard pass, I'll play a game that works.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 13: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Probably the worst and hardest learning curve in gaming, but a masterpiece if you can stick with it.
Every time I pick up this game I get into it for a full week or two to complete a bunch of missions I should never have picked in the first place. 10/10
I've spent so much time on this game jumping from Ceos to Sothis....o7
amazing!! a classic that became a dream of a game!
Surprise surprise the latest update made the game grievously tedious. I intsalled the game two days ago (as of this review) and almost everything is more tedious. Pretty easy uninstall. If you've never played the game then by all means play the ♥♥♥♥ out of it. If you are a returning player like me and dont want to relearn the game, just leave it. Not worth the headache. Thanks Frontier, you ♥♥♥♥♥.
Horrible HORRIBLE customer service. Purchased game on Steam. (TYVM!) MUST have Frontier account to play. Sign up for Frontier account. MUST have 25 digit activation code (from Steam?) Tried my Invoice number...NOPE! Contacted Frontier...zero response. Search their website...tells me to go to an "account" page and take actions...STILL have not found an "account" page...ZERO response from Frontier. What a SCAM! Downloaded 50G for NOTHING. (Steam lists me as having played the game for 19 minutes....WRONG!)
It's slowly becoming more and more like the game we all wanted. you can trade, you can influence, you can build and you can fight.. you choose, your story... the universe .. is yours.
for those who like space sims, its amazing the only downside is that we dont get lush planets with cities if they make this in the future its a 10/10 space sim game
