Nightreign doesn't reinvent the wheel, but what it does exceedingly well is providing a bite-sized multiplayer Souls experience. Though it does grab from other games' bosses that you may have already fought dozens of times, there still are a fair bunch of new bosses here too, with quite a few feeling pretty memorable to me! Atop the normal gameplay there's even an interesting "hard" mode. It's far from being just an "asset dump." Though I do wish Fromsoft would revisit the game's success and add another expansion or tweak some areas, there's genuinely a lot of love and content here and you could tell from my playtime that I'm a pretty big fan of what we have. The game is fun if you want a faster Souls game with arcade vibes. Grab some friends or make some new ones too, as the community is still pretty populated as of this writing :)
