Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 7 → 4.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

nickel !
Its really unoptimized and performance hungry - for what it is. My > 600 hours are from many years ago, and its worse today than back then. The Server setup is horrfull und balancing.. hmm.. Current Version Crashes from time to time CTD without an error message, even on a local server. Back in the days i was forced to use a decdicated server - even on a local machine with performance but ran it later on an seperated machine to grant enough stability. Did not gone that far with the current version though. Nice idea and basic game but also far too expensive for what you get - in my view at least. I would have gifted it to a friend on sale but it never was and 30 bucks is beyond what I would spend again.. maybe a third of it. Maybe the price would be okay if some of the old issues with perfomance demand would be improved but its still terrible perfomance hungy (in terme of CPU / RAM) - dont even know for what actually if you compare it with other open world building games. So currently I would not recommend buying it, although I cannot say that I dont like the game, In fact , it can be beautiful and I enjoyed playing it. @devs care for easier better perfoming dedicated server and localhost intergration. Also take care of Client performance. And maybe improve gameplay a bit more. There is no need for visual optimization its good as it is / or was. Thi s game is horfully bad optimized and the random crashing is an issue. Improve the core game and stability , than I gonna recommend the game, even at the current pricetag.. In current stat I would recomend it around 10€, if your fix the issues I would rather value it around 20€, 30 is still steep, even in a fixed version - based on the current content. And idea could be an "client only license" or a volume licens for Owners to letfiends join who might not own an own copy - at a reduced pricetag .. how about 5€ per seat and base version comes with main licese and 2 free clients? Then we could talke about yout 30€ as a fair offer.

Eco is an unusually deep civilization/economy simulator where the politics, specialization, and player-driven market are genuinely fascinating. However, the moment-to-moment gameplay is painfully slow and repetitive, while bugs, poor class choices, a tiny community, and an eight-year Early Access period make it hard to recommend. +++ Extremely in-depth economics, politics, and tech tree systems. It really feels like you're building civilization back up from an apocalyptic event. This feels more like a simulation game or spreadsheet game like EVE Online. You're really starting your own small business, and entering a hostile economical and politicial environment with other players, more than anything else. You make genuine trade deals and vote for laws that affect the business of you and your competitors. You hire employees to handle logistics and advertise your wares. You solve real problems and fill in gaps in the market. Someone decides to build a road to the next town to expand their business, and suddenly you have a construction business handling it. Someone else notices that the river is cheaper and faster and builds a dock, undercutting and screwing over the first business. This is a very novel game experience, I haven't played anything like it before. +/- This game is slow. Extremely slow. We're talking, days to weeks of daily playing to unlock level 2. You also cannot do everything yourself. You have to specialise in your profession, and rely on commerce with other players to progress. As an example, as a hunter, I needed to contract a logger/carpenter to build me a fletching and butchery table. I was completely unable to progress without using the free market. This is both frustrating and interesting. I then had to price my goods according to labour and my own operating costs, without being undercut by my neighbours. -- Lots of bugs and jank. Animal heads clipping up through the floor. Animals running in place, slowly moonwalking upwards and backwards into space, before suddenly being flung across the ocean like we're playing Goat Simulator. Cutting a log wrong will send you to the moon. As a hunter, the extremely glitchy animals made this a frustrating experience, when every missed arrow is a business expense. -- It's hard to build something that actually looks nice using the in-game builder. Most houses are quite ugly and it's not really the player's fault. -- Not many servers still up and running. It's a small community. -- Some classes are just bad, and there's no good or easy way to diversify or undo your choice. I chose Hunter, not knowing that I should have chosen Butcher and just hunted without the damage bonus. I was unable to process or skin my caresses and had to rely on others to do it for me, losing most of the profits and having a tiny margin. Hunter is arguably a useless class in the current patch, unless you like fishing. I only learnt this after several hours and investing into building my house and all, and my character will be stuck in this state unless I invest a huge amount of time to fix it. I could start again from scratch but that would be a waste of 11 hours and I'm kind of done with this game. -- This game has been in Early Access for 8 years, which is insane. Personality I don't think it's acceptable to pass the 4 year mark. -- No controller support, which feels really strange in a game like this. --- The actual game in front of you, outside of the meta / economy / political game, is quite weak. The visuals are… not beautiful. The sound effects are repetitive and strange. The music is annoying. The gameplay is repetitive and mind-numbingly boring. For example, if you're a logger, you will be staring at a badly textured tree trunk, holding left mouse button for 5 whole minutes, and walking between the tree and your stockpile. Then you do it again. And again. Then you eat food slowly and rest. Then you chop more trees. This is every profession at it's core. The gameplay is a means to an end; it is secondary to the economy and politics. You're a cog in a machine, but a critical cog. Overall, an extremely niche and strange simulation game. If you like spreadsheet simulators, you might like this game. However, I feel like 99% of people will not like this game, myself included, which is why I'm giving it a "not recommended", with the caveat that some people will absolutely love this game.
This game is fun and is like Minecraft a little bit, but extremely harder than Minecraft
Game is dying out but is super good otherwise
