The result of what you'd get if you put every puzzle from Resident Evil 1 through Code Veronika , in ONE game.... Im gonna start with the positives since they are much less. Looks great specially for a team of two. The atmosphere is spot on to old RE games. It has quite some jump scares and the music is great. The negatives now..... The game is an insane chore. Everything is a puzzle , the must have in total like 150 keys or key items that unlock things. The amount of things that stop your progress is ridiculous. Most of the time you get an item to unlock something waaaaay before you even go to the area. There were times when 3-4 key items where useless and i had no clue for like 4-5 hours of gameplay. The ridiculous amount of key items made them place them praccticcally in random locations around map because due to the sheer amount of them its was impossible otherwise. Its a common occurrence to solve a puzzle only to immediate reveal another puzzle , annnndd another one in the same exact spot.. Due to the insane amount of key items(and having no clue where most of them are used) you need to constantly backtrack to a box to pick them up. The backtracking in the game is a nightmare to deal with. Once you go to Downtown/City Hall area you realize the true horror of this. What makes backtracking even worse is the completely useless map. The map is propably the worst ive ever seen in any game. The problem with the map isnt just the complete lack of icons showing where you left an item(of the hundreds) or show which door requires what key......the problem is the layers. Once you arrive are Downtown ,you realize its a multilevel area. The map completely fails to show how its seagment is connected to each other. Meaning you see the end of the map but you are left blind as to where the last door leads to. To add to this terrible design, you can only look at the map of where you are....You cant look at the map of another segment unless you go there. The terrible map and gazillion items create a unreal backtrack fiesta ive never seen in another game. Everything feels a tedious chore. Im not gonna spent much time talking about the puzzles. Some of them are completely ridiculous like the acid you make to melt a chain. The clues the chain gives ya is you need something stronger to destroy it so most people will waste a bunch of ammo or melee weapons to break it. Nope. The solution ?? Remember 2 random items you found 4 hours ago ? you need to take another key item a bottle , go to the beginning of the game where there was a kitchen , fill the bottle , use one acid with it , then use the other , for a final mixture that will melt the chain 10 kilometers away from where you are......Its one of the mose bizarre brainrot puzzles ive ever encountered in video game history. Theres a lot of things that didnt go well for this but id need 2 hours of writing. To sum up , creators put everything from like 4 Resident Evil games into 1 game unfiltered. The result is a game that has the same feeling but plays a lot worse.

ITS STUCK I CANNOT USE THE GLOVES
If you are into classic Resident evil then this is what you envisioned for the REmakes. This game has made me feel like a little kid again exploring spencer mansion and RPD. Now that I have a solid PC this was the first game I downloaded. I love reading the posts from devs and it seems like they really care about feedback. I cant wait for more expansions!
the best survival horror indie game ive played. the fact that 2 people were able to develop this game is highly impressive. i cant wait for laurels campaign and to see more games like this from these people in the future!
One of the more "mixed" experiences I've had with these RE homage games. Great artwork and good mechanics. The characters and story, though I get the vibe they are going for camp value, are just so uninteresting any humor is lost in the process. The pub level is cool in concept, but it is just constant running from one end to the other for what feels like no reason. Some of the puzzles are interesting, but its one of those games where you get a "key" item and you just stare at it for five minutes because there is not a thought in your head about where it could possibly go. The vision of the dual campaign is admirable, but I would have preferred they made a more complete single campaign.
Im sorry this games developement is stressing you guys out but i just want you to know, im about halfway through the campaign and im blown away at how great you guys have done. easily one of the best survival horrors ive ever played. so many fun weapons to use and just so much to explore and do. only thing id ask for is a better map lol. great job guys!
For this prive the game is okish. Graphics are nice, animations are fine for indie game. Story and voice acting you can skip if you are looking for a solid singleplayer immersive experience. Puzzles are tedious and make me feel "finally, its over" when i get them rather than give me a feeling of acomplishment. Zombies will have invisible barrier around them that you cannot run past and they will automaticly grab you if run past them, they will turn around with lightning speed and grab you no matter what. As a big resident evil fan the vibe is there but it just dont deliver that well. You really get reminded that you are playing an indie game at every turn. 3/10. Im glad i gave it a try but no.
无法云存档。美术画质氛围不错,但物品、关卡开门太绕太套实在是没兴趣玩下去
This game has surprised me in so many ways. I was hooked from start to finish, and as a Resident Evil fan, this definitely gave me some old-school RE vibes. The game has its flaws, but overall, it’s a great experience for anyone looking to recapture that nostalgic feeling. The fact that this game was developed by only one or two people makes the experience that much more incredible. I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys old-school survival horror, and I can’t wait until the Laurel campaign comes out!
