After a century in stasis the girl En arrives at her destination: A Palace out of legend. Out here, using forgotten technologies, she hopes to bring back a life that shouldn’t have been lost. But nothing could prepare her for what she’ll face in the ancient halls below.

ECHO is a masterclass in creativity, stealth, and unique problem-solving. In an industry often bloated with excess and imitation, it stands as one of the handful of games built around a single brilliant idea that it introduces and continually expands upon to impressive length: the notion of a physical environment possessing genuine memory and adaptive intelligence. The Palace is an endlessly expanding self-learning superstructure — imposing, beautiful, and severe. Gargantuan regiments of massive marble pillars, serene pools with lush vegetation, and dismal dark endless corridors of glass adorned with all manner of ornate, pristine detail create a space of divine yet hostile grandeur. With each regular system restart cycle, the porcelain-like entities known as ECHOs literally learn from the player, absorbing every individual encounter, movement pattern, and tactic before evolving to counter them with chilling precision. This core concept makes for some super difficult but profoundly rewarding gameplay that demands patience and careful planning for smooth success. Stealth here transforms into a psychological duet against a living architecture that improves alongside you, forcing constant reinvention. I absolutely love the design of the superstructure, the sleek technology, the weapons, and the entire art direction, which together craft an atmosphere of cold, Kubrickian serenity and obsessive beauty. The story proves compelling enough to pull you through to the end, and ECHO ultimately revealed itself as one of my personal favorite stealth/sci-fi games I’ve ever played. Few titles commit so completely to one audacious premise and execute it with such confidence and stylistic coherence. The Palace remembers. And so will you. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3560621864 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3548379480 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3750080209

Si buscas acción constante, gratificación rápida y cero frustración… mejor no entres a este palacio: aquí no te consienten, te ponen a prueba.
The game is beautiful, I played it years ago, but I bought it again and it kept crashing on me. It's just a fond memory now.
I would say it is line of sight stealth game at the core. Game promises to always adapts to what player does and evolve together with it. Instead, the core mechanic is more about restricting certain actions until light/blackout cycle allows. Other wise, expect to "bait, evade around and obstacle and attacked from the back" a lot. It is one loop that the game never broke on hard difficulty. Also, it is one trick enemies never learn Even though they learn to sneak and learn the attack from the back... Player has 30m range detector and enough resources to use repeatedly. Therefore, AI has very little chance of using this tactic successfully. Another thing that gets done a lot is "pushing enemies of the ledges". Which is again tactical and one thing the game excels at is pushing player away from the one thing that always works, by level design. You can't circle around the obstacle and evade on narrow bridges, so let's push and make them fall to their death. It sounds simple, it is simple. However, it is a lot of fun. Level design is just great. Tension is ever-present. If you shoot, next cycle they shoot back. If you sprint, next cycle they chase you and swarm you. The "enemies learn what you do" mechanic works great. It forced me from being mindless, forced me to stay tactical. Also, it brings depth when it comes to teaching the enemies the right things. If you shout, they start to shout and become easier to detect. So in a way you can teach the to work for you. Or teach them a few bad habits that make them easier to kill. And this is where the game shines. These kind of mind games. Story is good with great voice acting. I really enjoyed it. Then there is the level design and graphics. It just looks great. Not "high end AAA" kind of great. But creative " endless space palace" kid of great. I found the design amazing. The place felt endless and mysterious. Overall, I give it 8/10. It really does not keep its main gameplay promise to constantly break player habits. It makes up for it by forcing the payer to be in a constant mind-game with himself and plan ahead. I would recommend it to anyone who likes stealth, is fed up with open world RPG stealth archer meme and would like to try something different. That's why I picked it up and that's why I loved it.
I love when a game is build around a central mechanic and expands on it. Very cool and unique experience. Took me a while to understand, how to navigate the game and I was glad to have stuck with it. Its pacing is slow and methodical, so bring patience and an openess to approch the same level differently each time you see it. Excellent sound design and acting paired with breattaking level design.
i got more than halfway through this game but ultimately couldn't bring myself to keep going so this is a do not recommend unless you are very into stealth games. the core mechanic is interesting, but not enough on its own to sustain a game of this length.
super ai mommys keeps snapping my neck. 10/10 i come back for cube any day.
