For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away.
A very subpar game with a decent art department. It feels very amateurish and slow and overall not fun to play. The maps are also huge and fast travel is very underutilized. I don't feel ripped off, I just won't be recommending my friends play this one.

Très bon jeu, j'ai beaucoup aimé !
Ender Christmas One year after his famous visitation by the Three Christmas Ghosts, Ebeneezer Scrooge is getting ready for another holiday. But another spirit comes to him- and begs for his help. An industrialist called Caspar Malthus, scion of a rich family, is threatening the London's underclasses. A year ago, he also was given 3 visions- but something went wrong. Now, the spirits of restless London ask for Ebeneezer's help to turn Caspar away from evil. The game is a fairly typical metroidvania. As Ebeneezer platforms around and smashes hostile ghosts and Malthus' thugs with his cane, he gains spirit energy, which can be used to call upon help of friendly spitits. Attacks are directional, and can still be blocked by shielded enemies, so timing matters. As you progress through the game, you meet with more spirits, most of whom offer you some fetch quest before joining you. Each one has a challenge ( kill X enemies with their attacks, or do Y total damage) which boost the effect of the skill. A few of these allow you to smash brittle walls, and help to access secret areas, but most are purely for combat. The other type of friendly spirits boost Ebeneezer's traversal, allowing him to reach new areas. These ghosts are spread throughout the main areas, and require a completion of a task- that is, to make your way through a level. There's overall a decent amount of backtracking and exploration. The map is fairly basic, with rooms changing colour once you've found everything- except sometimes it could be a bit buggy and show a room as fully explored despite a hidden collectible, or show it as incomplete, despite finding everything. There's no “100% exploration” achievement, though, so this isn't a huge deal. There's a decent amount of customization, as Ebeneezer can find a total of 8 weapons (5 canes and 3 spirit weapon variants) that can be alternated at will. Spirit weapons are necessary to fight some enemies with an aura shield. There's a very decent enemy variety, and the bestiary is very descriptive and well-written. Ebeneezer can also encounter the 3 Christmas Ghosts, each of which offers him a familiar-one for offense, one for healing and one for defense, and these can be alternated at will as well. The game also features almost 30 collectible “heirlooms”, 4 of which can be equipped at a time for additional bonuses. One is an item that points to weak and false walls, and another allows you to breath underwater and access additional areas; there's also a few that boost rare drops from enemies. Because, yes, the game has rudimentary “crafting”. In a sense that some of the merchant's purchases require items the enemies drop. And there are 2 ghosts, that can boost Ebeneezer's Health and Spirit gauge- but they require items dropped by the most powerful enemies. This can turn the endgame into a bit of a grind, since the enemies respawn each time you save, so you can farm a particular map until you get what you need for your upgrades. Overall, the game is pretty, and the extra lore bits are well-written. The game handles well, although contact damage from enemies can be a bit annoying. Exploration and progression are decently-paced, although nothing exceptional. There's a couple of collectibles that are hidden off the main map that I had to consult a map for; but overall, it's an enjoyable experience.
Хорошая игра, но не за фул прайс , по скидке за 500-1000р самое то
Played on OG 512 Steam Deck without issues. This game was a very fun time, unique mechanics and wonderful graphics
Despite it's unassuming presentation and the jank I encountered while playing, this game is a surprisingly competent metroidvania, and in my opinion, a pretty interesting storyline. A solid christmas-themed game overall.
It has often been told that Lin Manuel Miranda got the idea for Hamilton when reading Ron Chernow's biography of Alexander Hamilton on vacation and thinking to himself "how is this not a musical already?". Well, the creator of this game clearly read (or watched one of many adaptations of) Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol and thought "how is this not a Metroidvania?" The premise is absoutely wild: you are Ebenezer Scrooge, post Christmas Carol. Because you were visited by the three (four, counting Marley) spirits, you have the ability to communicate with the spirit world in a way that others can't (you also have the ability to perform a backdash for some reason). As a result, other repentent spirits who were not saved during their mortal years send you on some fetch quests and, in exchange, lend you their powers to dash through spiritual gates, double jump, bash through walls, etc. in an effort to save the soul of another living industrialist who has lost his way and is mistreating his workers. This is a great one to play during the holidays, as along with the obvious Christmas Carol themes, the backgrounds are absolutely gorgeous, hand-painted London scenes full of Christmas trees, holly, etc. If you've had enough of Metroidvania's in spooky castles and grimdark tunnels, this is one for you, as one of the four main areas is basically the streets of Victorian London. The enemies are a mix of the real (factory security and police officers) and spiritual (ghosts with absolutely bonkers names), and Scrooge can whack them with his cane or use one of a variety of spirit weapons against them (if you manage to find said weapons). All this said, the game isn't without its flaws: - You can beat the game in less than 10 hours and 100% it in a little more. This was great for me, but may not be for others. - Scrooge's attack animations are lengthy and frustratingly un-cancellable, so you'll often find yourself wailing on a boss (Victor Malthus I'm looking in your direction) who will start telegraphing his attack but be unable to dash away in time. If you're looking for a tightly-controlled Metroidvania like Ori, Hollow Knight, etc., this ain't it. - The game doesn't explain much, and things are easily missable. I spent the first 75% of the game collecting crafting materials and coins with no idea what to do with them, since I didn't happen to go down the hallways to the shop or the upgrade ghosts. Likewise, the red ghost powers are never explained, and some cause environmental effects that are needed to solve puzzles (the ghost who strikes the ground with a pickaxe does *not* destroy breakable floors, while the one who smashes into the ground does. The ball and chain tossing ghosts breaks walls, some of which are marked as breakable while others are not). I got to the third boss with no upgraded health or spirit and having only found one additional weapon, which (combined with the aforementioned movement issues) made the battle extremely tough. The spirit weapons in particular are easy to miss, and there are some enemies that only take damage from them and not Ebenezer's cane. One thing to be aware of (that the game doesn't tell you) is that rooms will turn green on the map when you've found all secrets in them (although this is buggy). - There are the number of bugs that you'd expect from an indie game that has mostly gone unpatched. A main game-stopping one was apparently patched, but I still encountered a few freezes, and the map and menus were quite glitchy. What is meant to be the most powerful cane is actually the worst one because the damage modifier on it just doesn't work. All this said, if it's the holiday season and you're looking for a unique, high-concept Metroidvania that won't wear out its welcome, you can do much worse than this one.
