For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. About
Martians have been visiting Earth for decades, abducting animals and humans and harvesting their atomic essence to create bizarre Martian-creature hybrids. This time they’re here to claim our planet.
In this turn-based strategy game, an unlikely group of commanders will lead Earth’s military as they face an overwhelming Martian invasion. Fight high-tech saucers, grav-tanks and elite alien warriors in a battle for the planet’s survival.
Your secret weapon is the “Splice-O-Tron". With it, you can combine human "volunteers" with Earth creatures to create powerful hybrid supersoldiers to fight alongside Earth’s regular military.
Rain acid from the skies with the fast-moving cheetah-fly. Charge through enemy lines with devastating human-rhino hybrids. Or strike from the forests with your deadly squirrel-cow infantry.
As the campaign progresses, you’ll unlock new types of creature, powerful unit upgrades and game-changing commander abilities. But as your army evolves, so will your enemy’s, and you’ll face everything from the sentient organic weapon known only as “The Creep” to the Martian’s own mutant creations.

Earth vs Mars is our first game under the Relic Labs banner. Relic Labs games differ from our traditional, larger-scale strategy titles (which we're continuing to support and develop) in that they are created by smaller teams with shorter development cycles and a goal of experimenting in new strategy spaces, creating fun new worlds, and getting them in the hands of players sooner. Earth vs Mars was made by a small team of passionate Relicans with the goal of paying homage to some of our favorite strategy games, while adding a Relic twist.

Solid Advance Wars clone.
It's a fun little game to play when you have a bit of downtime and want to play something that you can pick-up and drop at any point. In no particular order, here is an itemized list of what I enjoyed and what I thought could use improvement: The Good: ⦁ The game is easy to understand and the campaign does a good job easing you into all of the mechanics and what the units can do. ⦁ The extreme mode difficulty never felt entirely unfair and I had to reset a few times in a few missions. It certain feels like a puzzle to solve in some missions. Definitely enjoyed that. ⦁ Every unit has a role to play and they all fit their roles very well. I never found any unit to be useless. Even basic infantry remain relevant throughout the whole campaign. ⦁ I felt the variety in the types of missions you do were good. It's not always capture HQ or wipe out all units. ⦁ The spliced units were cool idea. They get quite strong late into the campaign but never become the backbone of your army. It's hard to describe, but power level of the spliced units always feels right. Never overpowered, but never outright useless. ⦁ Subsequently, the unique abilities you get for spliced units are generally available often and can have major ramifications in the battle. E.g., the cow's Herd Mentality ability allows adjacent units to play another turn. This really changes up how you play the game. ⦁ The main antagonist, Zarb, has that typical, megalomaniac, Martian supervillain trope and for a game like this, it works very well. ⦁ Despite the overall art direction, the maps look very nice. ⦁ I have yet to encounter a single bug/issue in this game. The QA was top-notch. ⦁ You can close the game mid-mission and load your game again with the battle in the same state. Like I mentioned before, easy game to pick and drop at your leisure. The Bad: ⦁ Very subjective, but the Clash of Clans-like art style is not for me. ⦁ The game UI is competent and clear, but feels extremely uninspired. ⦁ The campaign mode's attempt at humor and character development is certainly there, but feels basic. I did not find myself growing attached to any of the characters. In fact, I was more concerned with my spliced units. I always felt bad when I had to flush one. ⦁ Some of the unit models felt a little too uninspired. The greatest offenders on the Earth side were the tank and Goliath. It is basically tank and jumbo tank. They function very similarly, but it would've been cooler to me if they had some entirely different model. Something like an IFV and tank rather than tank and big tank. The same goes for Mars with their lasertank and ultratank. ⦁ The unit abilities feel somewhat like an after-thought. They are certainly powerful, but given how long their cooldowns and how they start on cooldown immediately, I never truly felt like the ability upgrades were that impactful. That's not to say they are useless; not at all, however you can't rely on them to win battles. Heavy infantry bazooka shot, I am looking at you. Final thought: One last thing I'd like to add is perhaps this game could actually be made into a mobile game. It certainly feels like it could be done with a few UI changes. I would definitely like to play this while I am on the go.

Very fun mini-tactics game - the splicing is only to create 1-3 "hero" units you will use during missions which is fun, but you are backed by otherwise a normal army. Heaps of content for the price tag, missions are very well designed and most take only 7-9 turns on average and are challenging and move at a good pace.
This game strongly draws from Advance Wars and XCOM in terms of fiction, tone, and solder modification. It does feel a bit simple in terms of strategy, and one commander is way more powerful for the rest, but its fun for what it is. Its not the best strategy game on the market, but its bite-size package and simplicity make it easy to grasp for someone of any experience. Far less punishing than XCOM.
Short story - Game is really fun! For someone who has played pretty much every game Relic has put out, this one deserves it's place amoung the bangers Relic has created! I really hope their new strategy of making more games with lower budgets and smaller scope keeps allowing them to experiment and find new audiences. For the game: Best parts - Spliced units! Fun campy vibes if you're willing to lean into it! Clear progression system! You feel really bad for the freaks you send out, in a good way (tempted to try out the permadeath mode added just as I was finishing the story). The game's difficulty curve is also balanced pretty well, in that you don't get too overwhelmed by the start of new mission. Meh parts - first few missions are slow to get going especially when you haven't got upgrades and enough resources to create fully spliced units yet - probably needed better pacing for the first few hours. Without the wacky creations you can make, the game feels very simlar to something most tactics heads will have played before. A good thing is that you can change the difficulty as you go (except for some hardcore settings), so maybe best to keep it on easy or medium until you get some upgrades/ a few spliced soldiers you like. Finished the campaign in around 50hrs mostly on hard (though I tend to play though games slower then other people).
Very entertaining spiritual successor to Advance Wars. This is NOT xcom but that's okay! It's a fun casual game and I'm having a blast with it
Macht Laune - und hat Potential.
Вроде графон уровня мобилок, а компьтер раскалился как майнинг ферма. Вы че там совсем ку-ку?
