Dustwind: Resistance

A nice spiritual successor to Fallout Tactics that scratches that itch for a active squad tactics game. Campaign is ok and UI is decent. Replayability is relatively high with skirmish and map editor. All in all a good enjoyable relaxing experience.

Kampaň ponúka 16 misií s dôrazom na taktické plánovanie v reálnom čase s možnosťou pauzy. Hráč ovláda skupinu bojovníkov, ktorých vedie bývalý farmár Jake a jeho pes Diesel. Ich cieľom je pomstiť napadnutú komunitu a prežiť v nehostinnom post-apokalyptickom svete. Hra kladie dôraz na kombinovanie stealthu, akcie, pascí a rôznych špeciálnych schopností postáv. Diesel – ako verný štvornohý spoločník – dokáže nielen hodiť granát, ale aj rozmiestniť vežu či odlákať nepriateľov. Mapy sú rozmanité, ponúkajú viacero prístupov k cieľu a vizuálne sa posunuli oproti pôvodnej hre. Plusom je aj editor máp, ktorý umožňuje vytvárať vlastné misie a zdieľať ich s ostatnými. Dustwind: The Resistance je dôstojným nástupcom pôvodnej hry, s modernizovaným rozhraním a dynamickým súbojovým systémom. You control a group led by former farmer Jake and his dog Diesel, fighting to defend what's left of their community in a harsh post-apocalyptic world. Gameplay blends stealth, traps, direct combat, and unique character abilities. Diesel plays a key tactical role – throwing grenades, deploying turrets, and distracting enemies. The maps are diverse and allow different tactical approaches, and the visuals are a step up from the original. There's also a map editor for creating and sharing custom missions.
