Games just there, its nothing amazing, combat is lackluster, world is somewhat pretty but also very unreal engine feeling, and is suppose to take inspiration from kingdom hearts, but lacks anything that is even similar to kingdom hearts sadly. Wait for a sale not worth at full price.
Recomendado totalmente.
The enemies are too simple, and the combat is pretty basic as well. There's a lot of exploration, but most of it feels pretty worthless. The game feels like a Kingdom Hearts copy in some ways, while also taking inspiration from Ratchet & Clank. The world design is really cute, though, and it's much more of a platformer than Kingdom Hearts. Performance is actually very good—it runs at around 90 FPS without any issues, rock solid.
muy bueno
Very fun platforming hack and slash with a ton of heart that draws nicely from its inspirations. Plenty of references to PS2 era platformers that will fill your nostalgia jar while not being too in your face. Overall I'd definitely recommend this to any fans of Kingdom Hearts, Jak & Daxter, or Ratchet and Clank looking for a medium length story game with fun movement and combat. It has a surprisingly emotional story, well acted cutscenes, and satisfying gameplay. Very impressed as it's the first game from this developer. I'd be excited to see a sequel or another game from Weird Beluga. 8.5/10 STRENGTHS -Movement: Very floaty, but after the first hour flying through platforming feels very fun and rewarding -Music: Amazing songs that fit the clock theme so well. It fills each area with the perfect atmosphere and drives the story from beginning to end. -Combat: Is very fun overall, but not the most challenging (personally) Good enemy variation. When it starts to feel stale a new enemy type is introduced to keep you on your feet. -Art style: Absolutely gorgeous views and areas. Each new zone feels fresh and matches the music perfectly. Really cool set pieces that only get more grand as the game progresses. -Story: While it feels written for a younger audience, it still has lots of great story beats and strong emotions. Based around grief and dealing with what it brings. It got a couple tears out of me. WEAKNESSES -Upgrades: Some unlocks feel like they should be there at the start. Seeing places you can't go or collectibles you have to double back for gets a bit annoying in the first few hours. Purchasing other upgrades doesn't give the satisfaction they maybe could because a good few are simply damage/ passive bonuses that don't really affect the main gameplay loop. I would like to see more combo's or extentions to attack sequences. -Writing: As I mentioned above it feels written for a younger audience, which isn't a real issue, but I "clocked" the main twist within the first 15 minutes. Zirian also feels a touch too innocent to the point of being dumb and annoying at some points. -Collectibles: While the costumes are very cool and the gears needed for upgrading feel rewarding to find and obtain, a lot of the others seem a tad pointless. Also having to replay all the areas to collect the things you miss/ couldn't get without new abilities is a bit tedious. It interrupts the flow of the story to get the final movement upgrade and then go replay the entire game if you want to 100% it.
