Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Doesn't quite scratch my itch. Everything just seems so painstakingly drawn out and frustrating. It feels like a Euro style board game in that it seems like it's built around making victory so painstaking, that nobody will be able to outpace their opponents to such a degree that one player dominates. Instead, it feels like you need to put in half an hour to gain the sort of soft cap in size, queue up your research, and then you can watch a show and just check in from time to time, as everything after that is of minimal value. Authority makes sure that your expansion is effectively capped at a certain rate that just keeps growing with each village you take. Forget fast expansion, simply waging war with an opponent doesn't really work, as you're unlikely to be able to maintain a pace beyond maybe a village per week (in-game ofc) on top of the week you have to wait until a village is captured. You can of course skip villages and only capture a few along the way, but that still leaves a week each village to liberate them and an increasingly difficult hopscotch as you keep having to retreat to your nearest village for resupply before again pressing on. Should you persevere, you are then face with the fact that the enemy base is both very powerful and takes forever to crack. You're going to have to rotate your troops and use your entire cap to crush it. I tried it, as the other competitors took advantage of my lack of defenses, and I didn't get very far. Then (as is a theme in this game) my opponent grabbed one of the possible truce options in the landsraad and I gave up. Subterfuge as a whole never really feels powerful, allowing you to purchase certain effects that rarely make much of an impact on the game. The subterfuge victory combines with the above monotony. You must place an agent with a faction, wait while the information level levels up, place an information network (and hope it doesn't get discovered), place another agent, wait again for it to level up to place another information network (and at this point losing an IN will cause your agent to get booted out and the info level to fall). And then you'll be able to launch a loading bar that will require a ton of resources to fund while you throw even more into one-time use troops to maintain the speed of the loading bar and hope they don't find the INs in the meantime, as that effectively dooms your operation (NB, I managed to still get it done by using bene gesserit. The extra info level allowed me to maintain the operation while sending a line of troops to be sacrificed to maintain the progress). Very very tedious, and it didn't really feel like it connected to any mechanic in the game at all. Note as well that both of those methods, you then have to repeat. For. Every. Opponent. The other three victory conditions are then buying up 50% of the CHOOM company, becoming the governor, or the 'time cap' condition of gaining enough hegemony. It says a lot that the games I've played against the AI have so far all at least come close to just defaulting out and I've often considered if that wouldn't just be the most convenient way to always go about things. Just take an area and then watch a movie while you keep one eye on the game so things don't go awry. As for the other two: Buying up CHOOM has a lot of benefits built in and is a great mechanic. Being able to sell it as well is a great option... but the game shoots itself in the foot in it not really being relevant. You can do it to get influence, but late game you're usually drowning in resources and you don't really do much with money except buy CHOOM! The price also keeps rocketing up so it's simply not smart to sell some since you'll only have to pay more to repurchase it. If the game had more stuff you could throw your money into (late game, you're paying more for a single purchase of 5 shares than you are for the limited 'wonder'-tier buildings), then the mechanic would work a lot better. As is, when I tried to chase down CHOOM, it simply became incrementally more difficult to purchase as I clawed my way to the top. Rather than feeling like I was getting close to victory, it felt like the game was trying its best to slow me down, as the price climbed to absurd levels just from me purchasing it. The game even includes an auto purchase that seems to indicate the devs not really understanding their own system, as it buys 5 instead of 20 at a time, and stops as soon as you run out of money. So it explodes the price as fast as possible and stops working when you run out (which you will in only minutes). Instead it is so much better to just manually buy 20. It takes longer, but that results in the price spiking less. Finally you can become the governor. For context, you have 100 votes in the landsraad which you can spread out between the three bills. You can increase that to 250 and you can further boost your power by using influence (the cap on influence can be increased but IIRC the default is 300). Before you become governor, you need to hold some other office. Imagine my surprise when I called a vote on one of those offices, ingeniously that only I was in line for, tossed over 500 votes into the mix only to be defeated by over 600! It turns out that other factions can simply vote no, and that's what everyone did, plus prioritized voting on that. This is how I then gained the rare achievement of having over 1000 votes cast for me (1k just from myself). It is simply what it took. While it was doable to outsmart the AI to gain the necessary offices, the landsraad ALSO has bills that will torpedo your attempt at winning a political victory and I can't imagine that being possible when playing against humans. This felt like what happens in so many board games where the players look around and say: "He's about to win, let's all work together to make sure that doesn't happen." And I simply can't see how any player would be able to outvote three other players given how influence is used for nothing but voting, and so pools up a lot. All of that just makes the game unfun. I found myself pursuing all kinds of things in each game, as each victory type took ages to accomplish. And never in a very active way. Just waiting for the information level to go up, or waiting for enough cash to pool up, or waiting for enough authority to pool up. It was simply very boring.

This game is so incredible but PLEASE for the love of the emperor of all humankind, give us more expansions <3
Long story short? I loved the time I put into this game. Have you ever gotten tired of playing a strategy games where when one of you has snowballed enough, the game is already decided? And you just feel like you are grinding away the playtime until it is realized? Here is one of the very few answers to that issue I have ever played. To be fair though, I did get tired after trying out different things, and eventually going for and getting the Insanity achievement. So it may not be one of those games that you will always find yourself playing more of, but the time I spent was fun for me. Juggling intrigue, research, politics, military, and economics you can't really ignore any unless you can beeline a victory fast enough. You have to stay on your toes to make sure the enemy doesn't get too close to victory an any of the arenas. You have too little in intrigue? There's a good chance you will be assassinated before you can win. Not even appeasing anyone in politics/diplomacy? Maybe even used a nuke? Prepare to suffer rampant penalties and being focused down. Economics are too poor? Affording military defenses, let alone expansions. . . or much of anything, will be quite difficult for you until you fix your economy. And if you don't contest the company's shares enough, the enemy might just win an economic victory. Not putting any effort into research? Then you will struggle in about any theatre against those who have invested in politics, military, economics, and intrigue. This provides a glimpse into more depth of the game, there are quite a few inbuilt synergies. Enough diplomatic power can have you making sure edicts and titles go your way and you can gain advantages to things like military prowess over others, meaning they might have to compensate for it in some other ways, maybe even forcing them to be on the defensive. Certain edicts can even punish other players and hinder their playstyles, instead of just helping you. This is just a bit of how the game has you and your opponents vying on multiple levels. A big recommendation, particularly if you are a fan of playing RTS games with more aspects to them than troop management. If you like playing board games like Scythe, 3-D chess, setting up chess matches asymmetrically, or try to add more depth to games like Risk, then this game might just be for you.
Cheating AI... Spawns in over 30 troops in less time to for the player to build 2... How am any suppose to stand against that... A 55 supply army with a hero was decimated in seconds... And you know what... The diplomacy thing you can use to stop raids and stop combat did not work...
Dune: Spice Wars:
This game is brilliant. I should have gotten it years ago. From promotional material and the brief clips I saw, I believed this was one of those 4K games, where troops move across tiles and everyone takes a turn. Like Civ. I hate that. But this is not an accurate representation. I was very wrong. It's somewhere between a 4K and RTS, where the map is 4K and the gameplay is RTS. And no one is taking turns. It's all out conflict from the go. A match consists of initially surveying territories with your ornithopters and using squads to take over villages. Once you've cleared out the defenders, you claim it for yourself and get all the benefits of the territory, and you can construct buildings for resources or research or military advantages. You must also find the spice, for the Imperial Tax/CHOAM bribe is coming and it's coming fast. You must balance how much of your spice is kept for the tax/bribe and how much you can sell for solari (munies in the Dune universe). And if you fail to fulfill your tax, you will feel the pain. And, every few weeks, the Landsraad meets where you can use your voting power to enact things like minimised costs, or perhaps receive free troops, or maybe even get 300 solaris for every village you possess at the time. Or maybe your enemies will outvote you and they will earn these bonuses, and perhaps vote in a penalisation for you! Hell's Bells! Now your spice value is worth less and you need to give more to the tax, hurting your solari income! Those fiendish Great Houses!!!!!! All of it affects how the game is going to unravel. And all the while you're voting and expanding, two or three other factions are making troops, taking villages, and hoarding spice. There are multiple win conditions. You can win through Hegemony (your overall power) by taking villages and researching tech in your home base, you can become the major shareholder of CHOAM, or maybe you'll build the military power to wipe the other factions from the map. Perhaps the Fremen will claim the Dune Governorship Charter and kick you all out. Or maybe you'll just assassinate their leaders, that is if they don't assassinate you first. 3 hours, near victory, only to die in the dirt by a Harkonnen knife. And if you're playing the Campaign mode, where you want to conquer all of Arrakis, you get to do it again and again in different regions until you reach your enemy's citadel. This game is ungodly hard. I'll say that. I've lost most of the games I've played. I do super well at first; I always lead in Hegemony. But then Atreides buys all the CHOAM shares. Or the Harkonnens assassinate me, the murder-happy buggers. Or either the Fremen or the Corrino Emperor suddenly shoot up in Hegemony and taking their villages away just doesn't slow them down. But it's incredible. It's not a normal RTS. But it's not a slow moving 4K, turn-taking game either. It's fast and stressful. Your guile in the court is as important as your skill with the blade. Will you outsmart them or will they sneak a victory in some other corner you failed to notice?
The game has to many things that are supposed to be chance but are clearly timed to work against you at the perfect time like worms when you attack enemy bases and votes for things that work against you every time you gain an advantage in something then the ai will just gang up on you to get wins with one trigger or another and you have no way to save enough times to back track if you realize something was messed up and so you end up wasting hours just to lose! This game slow and unbalanced with cheap win mechanics like hegemony at 30k when I was unaware of it after smashing on the ai for 5 hours just lose cause they beat me to that win condition I was unaware of! It's just not fun at all when your armies are weak small and worthless on top of it so you have no real way to advance and punish the enemy team especially when they team up on you when its beneficial to them! I spent 2 hours fighting over 1 piece of land after they both kept tag teaming me for it and the second I got it they forced a truce 15 seconds from it capping after I took the base then it just reverted back to original owner after it was taken already. I went to attack the main enemy base and right when I do a worm shows up on top of a vote to make the base auto heal! WTF is that! To much BS and imbalance problems kill this game and make me regret buying it. I see no reason for many of these "random" things to work the way they do. I wanted to play a Dune strategy game again and this was a bummer! One thing I forgot to explain is the fact that I won every battle and it does not seem possible to win militarily most of the time due to hegemony mechanic witch is priority. I can easily win with heg but I just wanted to fight it out in the campaign and win by force!
A game base on Dune's universe, taking into account combat, spies, economy...even Sardukar!! sounds great eh? heck, it might be. good luck figuring it out though no manual bare bones tutorial tons and tons of options...and absolutely NO way to figure out how any of them effect the game. one thing is for sure-the combat has zero subtelty -none march units across the map and mash them together. you can make lots of different units-but what's the difference? the only answer i can give to that is, your guess is as good as mine, and i've played this for hours. my guess is the expensive ones probably do more damage, but who knows? it's pretty. i'll give it that. i like strategy. i like slower paced rts. i like the dune universe. you'd think i'd like this. but i literally can't make myself play it anymore.
Proceed with caution! I have a decent amount of RTS/4X game time under my belt, but not a heap. I only dabble in this genre, and trying to get into this game made me realise how bad i am at these kind of games. I tried the conquest type mode and lost like 3 maps in a row. i then decided to try a skirmish on easy to get my bearings and really learn the mechanics and STILL LOST. This game is not for the weak of heart. That being said i think the Dune IP is perfect to make an RTS/4x game out of and i think they did a decent job at doing it.
It's just not very fun that the AI uses the fact that it's AI to do things that are simply not counterable at any kind of scale (like repeated micro kiting with one unit on multiple fronts. Your own units cannot deal with this autonomously, so you have to micro to counter it. It's deeply unfun in a nominal 4x). It's a shame because a lot of the mechanics and details in the game seem theoretically interesting, but it's essentially impossible to get there when you will get destroyed by this type of behaviour with no reasonable counter.
