About

Battle online, locally with AI, or against the formidable House Hagal.

Embark on more than a dozen Challenges that will test your wit and cunning.
Compete for badges in the rotating Skirmish Mode where no two games are the same!
Arrakis. Dune. Desert Planet. Raise your banner above the vast wasteland before you. As the Great Houses of the Landsraad marshal their forces and their spies, whom will you influence, and whom will you betray? A tyrannical Emperor. The secretive Bene Gesserit. The shrewd Spacing Guild. The ferocious Fremen of the Deep Desert. The power of the Imperium can be yours, but war is not the only way to claim it.
Dune: Imperium blends deck-building and worker placement in a deeply thematic new strategy game where the fate of the Empire hangs on your decisions. Will you seek political allies or rely upon military might? Economic strength or subtle intrigues? A council seat… or a sharpened blade? The cards are dealt. The choice is yours. The Imperium awaits.
In Dune: Imperium, you'll step into the role of one of the leaders of the Great Houses of the Imperium in a struggle to control the planet Arrakis and the invaluable Spice it provides.
The game plays out in a series of ten rounds, each of which is defined by a new Conflict on the surface of the planet; some award critical resources, and some provide Victory Points that will propel you to dominance. But choose your battles wisely: spread your forces too thin, and you'll find your enemies growing too strong to oppose.
Each round, you'll draw a hand of five cards from your deck, which will get stronger over the course of the game as you acquire new cards. Each card can be played in one of two ways: To send an Agent out into the Imperium to gather resources, or to Reveal at the end of the round to purchase new powerful cards. You must maintain a careful balance to get the most of the resources available to you. How will you find your path?
As your game progresses, you'll vie for Influence with four factions of the Imperium: The Emperor, the economically powerful Spacing Guild, the mysterious Bene Gesserit, and the ferocious Fremen of the deep deserts. Earning Influence among the various groups helps you to earn the Victory Points you need...but will you compete with your rivals for their favor, or abandon alliances to pursue other opportunities?
Many strategies are at your disposal, and many paths to victory. The cards are dealt. The choice is yours. The Imperium awaits.

This is kind of like Settlers of Catan, but trade dice rolls for cards. I think the game would be fun in an in person setting, but the presentation in this game is bad. There is no music and one sound effect it seems. No voice for the tutorial. The UI is bad and makes it difficult to tell what is going on and the AI turns take forever. The board is ugly, cluttered and there is little to no animation. Side note: I think the expansions just add bloat and are only for those board with the base game. I say go for the base edition if you're on the fence to see if you like it, then get the expansions if you do. All in all, I'm a bit disappointed by this one. Digital versions of board games are unfortunately usually bare bones in presentation and UI, so the game has to be super fun to make up for the low budget, but it isn't and lacks a lot of personality and charm from the books/movies. Voiced lines and music would've gone a long way. I think the art style is pretty plain too, but that's just my preference. Just try the digital Settlers of Catan for a simpler and faster paced experience. The ingenious thing about Catan is that you can benefit from your opponents die rolls getting you resources, which makes other players turns less boring. This game doesn't have that.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3/day in the week to Jul 20 → 4.33/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Control the Spice

Aktion -- 1 Spice --> 1 Karte entfernen, 1 Truppe
Passiv Rundenende -- 1 Spice, 1 Persuation

Close to perfect. The hard AI is strong enough to keep even veterans entertained. Probably not as strong as the top AI in Through the Ages - but that's a benchmark of quality boardgame AI and a tall bar to set. It can be a bit hard to follow what is going on, though the log is fine. Now please, Dire Wolf, make Dune: Uprising already.
Dune: Imperium is a worker-placement and deck-building board game. The store page rigthfully describes the game as the ultimate blend of strategy and intrigue. It is a thrilling struggle for dominance, best enjoyed by up to 3-4 players. This really is one of the best competative strategy board games and Dire Wolf did a phenomenal job with the digital adaptation as always. All the expansions are definitely worth buying even at full price, everyone of them add more variety and ways to enjoy the game. I'll recommend buying the Uprising DLC first. Uprising is basically a refined, standalone sequel to the base game. When the Bloodlines expansion comes to Steam, it will most likely be the best DLC to add for Uprising. Until then, if you have to choose between Immortality and Rise of Ix, I'll recommend buying the Immortality DLC before Rise of Ix. Keep in mind that the Conspiracy expansion was also announced recently and would hopefully be available soon. Don't worry, you don't have to own all the DLC's before you can get into the action. Your millage will differ, but there are plenty of ways to enjoy the game — in solo mode with "vs AI", "Challenges" (for each DLC), "Skirmish" and in online mode with "Lobby", "Ranked", "Events". Even though the DLC's are all quite affordable and well priced compared to the base game, I have to agree with other reviewers that Dire Wolf should rather use the host-only model in unranked lobbies. Whether their current practice is fair, is off course subjective and widely debated in the digital board game community. The host-only model is the standard for physical board games, if not only out of necessity. The fact is that requiring everyone to buy DLC's, splits friend groups up. Some friends might not be able to afford buying all the DLC's, and this can make it harder to play your favourite game with friends. This also cause a high barrier to entry for new players, and makes it more difficult to convince friends to start playing Dune:Imperium with you, since it becomes an expensive prospect the more DLC's get added.
good, best with friends. almost as good as phyiscal board game...
Very good digital adaptation of an excellent board game. 10/10. Would flow spice again.
