About

Drop Duchy takes on the iconic geometric puzzle gameplay we all know and love with a fresh perspective: instead of simply clearing lines, you'll be thoughtfully building a realm using pieces of various shapes and types to overcome enemy challenges.
A mix of deckbuilding, puzzle and rogue-lite, the game offers a new gameplay designed to hone your appetite as a block-stacking tactician. Optimization is key to collecting precious resources, protecting your castle, and building your army.
Defeat is not the end, though: use the experience gained in previous runs to unlock even more content!

In each round of your run, Drop Duchy offers you a fresh and unique landscape to work with. Place tile pieces as you would in a typical block-dropping game but with a strategic twist: you need to align them to maximize their activation rules, producing maximum resources and units.
Selecting the optimal structures to place next to blocks of lush forests, wild rivers or grassy plains is crucial for maximizing your materials use and nurturing a bustling realm.
Forming lines grants bonuses, yet the ultimate goal is to pack up the most resources gradually. These resources will be crucial to build up your army bit by bit, ensuring your kingdom is well-protected against the enemy threats.

Select your path, gather your troops to outnumber your enemies, and reclaim the regions under their control. But be careful: letting your castle take too much damage can lead to defeat.
Successful battles lead your forces down branching, decision-filled paths in a march to storm the enemy fortress.
If your army falls before capturing the bastion, you can quickly jump back in and try a new strategy, thanks to a cleverly designed gameplay loop.
Adapt, conquer, and keep the action moving!

Grow in power with a rich deckbuilding system: build and enhance constructions with over 110 unique cards, each offering powerful upgrades and modifiers. Unlock new possibilities when using building or technology cards, each granting new bonus structures to boost soldier recruitment & various other perks. Customize your deck to suit your strategy and optimize your realm’s growth.
As you progress on your run, trade with markets or guilds to acquire valuable resources, use them wisely to upgrade your deck, make strategic decisions, and choose your path for the next round.

Drop Duchy features a robust meta progression system with over 100 unique misssions! Climb the ranks and unlock various bonuses such as increased resources, new cards or additional health.
These missions are intertwined with the three playable factions: The Duchy, The Republic, and The Order, each offering exclusive faction quests that grant faction-specific rewards. Completing these objectives across your runs not only tailors your strategy but also improves your chances of success, ensuring that every playthrough contributes to your long-term progression and victory.

Reviews
A relatively simple yet fun puzzle roguelike. Some of the wording on buildings or technologies is a bit confusing and could be cleaned up a bit, some of the strategies you might want to employ don't have the same level of support as others, but overall I think it's good fun for the time I've spent with it; although I have no interest in grinding ascension levels or such and won't likely play much beyond this point personally.
A great take on the rogue-lite genre with a lot to sink your teeth into. Complex but not overly so and once it all clicks it's just so great.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Good.
Really creative and fun
Drop Duchy clearly has a passionate team behind it that put out a finished and polished product. Good on you, Sleepy Mill Studio. I'll be keeping an eye out for future games! Something I think worth knowing is that Drop Duchy does Roguelites a bit different than other Roguelites. I mean the normal elements are all there, but they're combined in a friendly way. Here's what I mean: You win a building "card" (tile piece) after every encounter to add to your deck. But while in most Roguelites you play with your whole deck -- starting with bad cards and winning better ones as you play -- Drop Duchy only lets you play with a few (up to 8). ~80% of the tile deck you play with is going to be determined by the terrain of your scenario. You aren't playing with your deck, rather you're playing the location and you brought some of your own buildings along for the ride. This also means that there's no "Your starting deck sucks, build a better one ASAP" situation. In fact, Drop Duchy doesn't even require you to play with any building cards you don't want. You can deactivate any of the cards you own at any time -- both inside your run, and outside the run in the Progression / unlock area. And it doesn't cost some sort of meta-progression currency; it's completely free to do so. As you progress in your run you'll likely make ad-hoc loadouts for what the terrain has. Are there lots of forests in the next match? Bring out those woodchoppers and rangers. Lots of mountains? Put the woodchoppers away and bring out the mines. Given this lenient and power-in-your-hands attitude, the game also offers a free undo-last-action button. And there are a long list of things to unlock, from new building cards to different factions to special abilities (like transforming spells). Despite the forgiving structure, I wouldn't describe the game as easy! It felt more challenging than most card roguelites. I feel like I got my "hook" in just a few hours. So I don't know how often I'll come back to it. I enjoy everything about the game though. I can easily see how some people get sucked in, as there are ton of unlocks to keep the game replayable and different strategies to attempt. For some of you, this will scratch exactly the insatiable itch you didn't know you were looking for. For me, it left me feeling like I had a satisfied full meal, and I look forward to the next time I'll be back again.
Absolutely fantastic blend of city building, tetris, and roguelite. The design is well executed and each run is engaging, without the fatigue I experience often in other roguelites. Art is lovely too!
好玩
Very addicting gameplay. lots of acheivements, and a progressive complexity that makes it easy to learn.
以为是方块棋类策略游戏,结果是俄罗斯方块,叠加肉鸽爬塔模式,随机性极大,玩起来非常别扭。很不爽。
