the amount of glitches i came into contact with whilst playing this game is too many. i can't even finish the final boss because my game crashed after a cutscene. i launch the game again and back into my save, just to find out i'm stuck in the same room as that final cutscene and can't continue. completely softlocked. so technically, i haven't finished DreadOut to it's completion, but i refuse to replay through all of Act 2 again just to get back to the place that i crashed at and fight a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss for 5 minutes. the "Finished DreadOut" achievement is not worth getting for me. awful experience.
The game straight up doesn't really tell you anything how the game really works. It mostly just throws you into the game and expects you to figure it out. The camera is awful! It just randomly pulls to another direction sometimes and just is overall frustrating. It's also very dated visually and has issues with pop-in textures becoming visible onto up close and overall buggy texture and visual glitches. Just overall a bad game!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The Good, The Beautiful, and The Ugly. i'm talking about Linda and the Beasts there.
Hmmm…i don’t really know how to feel about this game. i first played DreadOut when i was younger, a few years back, and i remember it leaving a strong impression on me at the time. but when i replayed it recently, i felt honestly disappointed and it reminded me why something about it always felt a bit off. But this time i played it with a family member, and even though we both agreed it was disappointing and a bit drawn out at times, we still had out moments of laughter and shared reactions that made the experience a bit more enjoyable and memorable in its own way. The game follows a girl named linda and her classmates who end up getting into a car accident and discover an abandoned town. What starts off as a normal trip slowly turns into something much darker, as the place reveals itself to be haunted by spirits. Linda becomes the one you control, using her phone and later an slr camera to fight off these supernatural entities. Along the way, you’re introduced to her best friend ira, who gets separated from the group as everything falls apart. eventually, she becomes lost to the spirits, which adds a heavier emotional layer to the story. in my personal opinion, the game feels very inspired by Fatal Frame, almost like it’s trying to follow in its footsteps or recreate a similar experience. because of that, it sometimes feels less original and more like a version of something i’ve already seen before. The storyline itself didn’t really land for me. it felt confusing at times, like you’re often unsure where you’re supposed to go or what exactly the game wants from you. But if you’ve played games like fatal frame like me, you’ll probably adapt quickly, on what to do and where to go….but thats all from my knowledge of Fatal Frame. Dont get me wrong the Boss fights were fun and intense, but there just wasnt much lore to take in. The ending also didnt satisfy me, i personally didnt like the ending it felt sudden, almost rushed and incomplete??? Like the story built up atmosphere and ideas but didn’t completely deliver on them. still, it is a relatively short and easy game, and it can be enjoyable if you’re just looking for a quick horror experience or a few jumps. After finishing the game we wanted to play DreadOut 2, but after how the first game left us feeling, we honestly couldn’t really bring ourselves to finish it. At the start of DreadOut2 though honestly did seem more better but i was left running around for a while because of how confused i was where to go. i’m not completely disagreeing to play this game. i think it has its moments, and it clearly has passion behind it but for me, it just feels a bit unpolished, somewhat rushed in a way and too close to in idea to Fatal Frame…when nothing can be compared to that beautiful game. in the end, it feels like a game that had potential and atmosphere, but didnt fully shape itself into something complete. Still have a go at playing it, just be aware of what youre about to get yourself into. but thank you Digital Happiness! ۶ৎ
Absolute trash game. No direction whatsoever. Spent 25 minutes trying to figure out the frist section. SO NOT PLAY.
Don't even waste your time playing this "thing." It was trying to take things from Silent Hill and Fatal Frame, but it's not even remotely close to either of them. It looks terrible, even for 2014; animations are awful, pacing is terrible, and every time you die, you need to see the same slow walk for no reason. It has many glitches; the so-called combat system is messy and unresponsive. The story is also not appealing at all; dialogue is awful and unnatural. The only somewhat good thing I can say about this game is its atmosphere, and the soundtrack is okay, I guess. I forgot to mention that the game doesn't really tell you what you even have to do half of the time. I'll give it like 2.5/10, maybe 3.
