Dread Flats

I enjoyed this game! It was an easy to understand, straightforward game with a linear playstyle. The game doesn't hold your hand by any means, but there are clear expectations and directions given to the player on how to progress. Lore is present in the game but you are left to explore it by choice and draw your own conclusions--other reviews complaining that there is no explanation simply didn't do the few seconds worth of reading. Overall, this game was a casual horror game experience with satisfactory atmospheric elements, tricking you into a false sense of both fear and safety at times. Some of the scares are jumps, but the game doesn't rely on them alone to spook you. For the developer's first title, it was good! If you're looking for a short, casual horror, I'd recommend it.

decent I loved the atmosphere but the gameplay felt repetitive and its very easy to get lost. The jump scares also weren't very scary but it was still a pretty good cheap indie horror game
