Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 24: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great game design! It feels alot like an old school RPG with modern graphics.
Some spoilers later down this review. Overall, I really enjoyed the game. The only other DQ I played was DQ8 on the original DS. I enjoyed the story and gameplay. The boss battles were fun and I loved exploring the world. Now a few of my criticisms. None of these are deal breakers, but they were pretty annoying. I spent a lot of time at the beginning exploring everything and going out of my way to fight every monster in each region. Then the event happens and the whole world changes, and all the monster are new versions of themselves and have to be rediscovered. Then I read online it was happen another time because the world has 3 stages. This led to a lot less exploration. I felt the post game was very lackluster. I didn't even finish it. There weren't any new areas, you just explored the old areas but with rearranged monsters. The post game boss fights and challenges also felt really boring. They designed them all to have a semblance of strategy, but the opponents all use crazy annoying tactics that require you to be super over leveled or you have to do 1 or 2 specific strategies to win. Best example are the wheel of harma challenges or whatever they are called. The later ones there is literally only 1 specific line up and move order you have to use to beat it. So instead of spending 500 hours figuring it out myself I had to just google it. Pretty lame. Those 2 cons together also make it feel like they just reused the same world design for the game stages and post game as a cheap method to make the game take longer without increasing the amount of exploration you can do. My favorite part about DQ8, and I imagine most or all the other DQ games, was overtime you progressed in the game you got to explore a new area.

11/10 I feel guilty for buying this game at half price.
I do recommend this game, with some heavy caveats. I did enjoy my time with the game up until Act 3, where I felt like absolutely everything I had done in Act 1 and & 2 were pointless. I won't say any more about it as I do not want to spoil the game for people, but I do think if you get to the end of Act 2, and go "Yes that was a fun video game, I am done now", you would be perfectly okay considering the game complete. Story is...fine? It somewhat comes across as "baby's first RPG" in many ways as it's a simple plot, everything is over explained and the "twists" as such are pretty obvious. Act 3's story is awful imo and they should have just given you some generic open world with some super bosses to fight post Act 2. Battles are fine, if a bit easy. Combat system is pretty par for the course with a turn based RPG. Nothing particularly taxing or deep to learn. Locking the last achievement behind the hardest optional boss in the game is evil and will require you to grind your characters to level 99 with best in slot equipment and status resist gear. I normally don't achievement hunt but the game gives you basically all but 3 achievements for "free" by just playing through the story. Played on Steam Deck primarily, and would highly recommend for Steam Deck. Battery lasts forever if you limit to 30fps.
