Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 24: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Even though I'm a huge fan of turn-based RPGs, Dragon Quest was never a series that played a big part in my gaming life. I think that's mostly because the games were harder to find here, or because their releases were often overshadowed by other games. However, the little experience I did have with the series before DQ XI had a huge impact on me. That game was Dragon Quest VIII for the PS2, which I received as a gift from a cousin. I remember it being one of the most beautiful and fun games I had ever played on that console. At the time, my English was still very limited, so I struggled to understand the story and progress through the game, but it has remained one of my favorite games ever. So when I heard about the release of Dragon Quest XI, I was really excited to play it. When it came out, I played the original version and it absolutely blew me away. Dragon Quest XI represents everything a classic JRPG should be. It's not a generic JRPG—it's one of the games that helped define what we now consider the genre's classic formula. That's why, when I had the chance, I picked up the S version on Steam. You play as the reincarnation of the legendary Luminary, who must embark on a journey to save the world from the Dark One. Along the way, you'll meet a memorable group of companions and uncover the history of the world, as well as the truth about your own past. With plenty of plot twists, time-travel elements, and an incredible world to explore, the adventure constantly gives you reasons to keep moving forward. As you'd expect from a Dragon Quest game, the combat is turn-based and revolves around building a well-balanced party. However, random encounters are gone. Instead, you can see enemies wandering around the world and even get the chance to attack them before entering battle. You'll explore dungeons, collect materials, craft equipment, and gradually make your party stronger. The side stories are also surprisingly interesting and add a lot to the overall experience. There are mounts you can use in certain areas, different skill trees for each character, and a huge amount of equipment and customization options. There's always something to discover or another way to make your party stronger. And, of course, I can't talk about Dragon Quest without mentioning the music. The soundtrack is fantastic, and DQ XI is no exception. There were several moments when I simply wanted to stop progressing, walk around the world, and enjoy the scenery while listening to the music. Every RPG fan should play this game at least once. Dragon Quest XI is the embodiment of a well-crafted JRPG: its mechanics are polished, its world is beautiful, its characters are memorable, and almost everything about it is simply fun. If you love JRPGs, DQ XI deserves your attention.
one of the best fantasy slop jrpgs ive ever played if you've ever been intrested in a jrpg this is the one to play. the characters are incredible, the world is beautiful, the story just feels good and has a really satisfying conclusion... just dont play anything after the credits roll and when the game kicks you to the title screen after beating the big bad... uninstall or start a new game. dont play any post game content.
