Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

tl;dr; only buy it if you're a fan of the series and there's a decent enough discount. The fun enough combat and monster collecting is let down by a terribly delivered plot and an hilariously small roster of monsters compared to previous titles. Stuck it out because I'm a bit of a sucker like that and still walked away grumbling. I'm also not sure why Fizzy features in the main art because she only delivers a tutorial then sits in your tower offering online services for the rest of the game. If you've ever played 'Thank Goodness You're Here!' that's basically The Dark Prince in a nutshell but without the comedy. You're just awkwardly shuffled from location to location to become the 'Big Hitter' of that area (for reasons that are never brought up again) and someone will come along with a problem you're just in time to help resolve. The roster of monsters is smaller compared to previous entries. Synthesising your monsters together like a mad scientist is fun for a while but once you've got a team that really clicks you don't really need to take part in it again outside of completionist reasons. Since it's obviously a Switch port everything except the character models looks.. meh. Even at a 60 FPS lock on my Deck the game still found excuses to chug every so often. Dungeons are dragged out by puzzles that don't really challenge you but take forever to complete because you're forced to do things like hit switch, watch animation, run to next switch, repeat. Also, the main character is animated awkwardly. His right leg jitters and resets pretty blatantly during his run animation and I cannot unsee it. Now that you've read this you probably won't either. Have fun!

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 5 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
