Reviews
First thing's first. This to me is the best version of the game I have played. The HD-2D in this game is more or less perfect. It updates the graphics but stays true to the original intent. The animations are great, and the scale of the special effects are superb. The music is the orchestrated version of the melodies you know and love, and it just fits and works. The game doesn't play out EXACTLY how you remember it, the story has been slightly updated and there are plenty of QoL upgrades to make the game more smooth. Overall, I highly recommend this game, it is comfort food, a pleasant familiar experience that just hits the spot.
Give us the DQ9 Remake.. Please..

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 3: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It feels very nostalgic and still like something new. Quite a good remaster!
very fun. I thought it was very challenging compared to most jrpgs I have played and that helped me stay engaged unlike most other modern DQ games like 11S or 7R which are too easy besides the post game content
Another incredible title. At first I was reluctant about the 2D/3D mix because it looked kinda off to me, but as I journeyed and started to learn about the game's world and characters I grew to simply love it. These days I'm playing both DQ III and XI together and I'm enjoying all the references that DQ XI keeps bringing up from previous entries to the franchise especially DQ III as the memories from my adventures from it are still fresh. Peak JRPG experience.
