Dragon Fin Soup seamlessly blends genres to create a fresh experience: half story-driven tactical RPG and half high-stakes roguelike, with a pinch of crass humor and a heaping helping of murder & madness set in a procedurally generated fantasy world.

The only reason I won't recommend this game, and instead suggest not buying/playing it, is because the developers seem to have abandoned it, and there are bugs that still need to be fixed. (i.E. - bugs that erase all save data randomly). It is extremely heartbreaking. It was such an amazing game until the bugs began. I also tried playing it on PS4, but that is even MORE bugged, and the developers again promised updates and fixes, but the last anyone heard from them was I believe over 1 year ago, so unless they resurface and decide to complete what they said they would, I don't recommend this game. (Which is sad, because so many people REALLY wanted this game to be successful.)
Tried to discard a shovel from the context menu, accidentally ate it and died, Game Over... 10/10 would eat shovels again. In all seriousness though, the game is good but can't recommend since it's a bit of a coin toss if you'll be able to play through all the story, you could get a random crash in some specific dialog like me and never being able to progress. It also seems like this game stopped receving support after 2016.

I backed this in the day. So much promise. So little delivery. I dont think it was malice, this was the early days of Kickstarter when it was the wild west still. Still, this was one that burned me and made me back off from Kickstarting games. I wean at least we GOT a product. Its just not a good one. I feels like a waste of talent.
As a Kickstarter backer at mere $100 I did not get what I expected out of this game. This review is coming so late because I saw this game in my library after so long of not remembering that this game even existed. Let us put aside all the physical stuff I was hoping to get, the game is flawed and crashes far too often to get into the guts of the story. Alongside that, promises were made and never fulfilled by the team. Such a disappointment that I don't really want to write more about this game. I'll just leave it at that.
Significantly unfinished, and very much abandoned. Not sure why I played it so long, given the state of things (utter boredom?). Nice Smashing Pumpkins reference in there though.
DO NOT BUY! This game has been abandoned for years! What a shame. It WAS interesting.
4/10 - I really wanted to like the game. It is charming and looks beautiful. But I had to abort a mission several times now because it was bugged. In addition, the controls are very bad, the crafting is unnecessarily complicated, it's very monotonous in the long-term and bugs everywhere keep me from recommending it.
I am kind of torn... I love this game but just upset that the dev's abandoned it. That doesn't mean the game is not finished! There is a lot you can do! It's just that the dev's said they were going to release an update and then went dark.
Abandoned game. Do not purchase.
