Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Very nice (Borat voice)
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is fun. It's a continuation of the Sparking series from the PS2, of course with the added benefits of modern graphics, audio quality, and a decent selection of mods. I have a few gripes though, and I think hearing what's *wrong* with a game is just as if not more important than hearing what's *right* with one. SPOILERS ahead, so steer clear if you don't want to be spoiled.
SPOILERS AHEAD

What Needs Work

The NEO Expansion
The NEO expansion is great. The returning characters are lovely, they open up new opportunities for modders, and I think Sparking Zero can always use more content. So what's wrong with it? Well for one, it's $46.99 CAD. Secondly, those who paid for the ultimate edition still have to pay, so what's the point of them spending the extra money on the game itself? The new characters are *in* the game without paying that, by the way, so you're paying $47 to unlock content that is already on your hard drive.
Needless Restrictions
Sometimes it feels like Sparking Zero doesn't trust the player to use their own game. Did you know that Gohan Black is in the game complete with voice lines, all animations, a transformation, and the ability to fuse with Zamasu into a UNIQUE version of Fused Zamasu? If you completed the story mode, then the answer to that question is yes, though you'd be forgiven for not knowing because he only appears very briefly in a special mission. Gohan Black and his Fused Zamasu variant should be selectable after you fight them in story mode or at least be costumes to be equipped by Goku Black since they have the same moveset. They don't even appear in tournaments, even though characters that I do not own do.
The CPU & Poor Communication
The CPU opponents can be the most annoying part of this entire experience. The CPU blatantly cheats. Everyone knows it, but Bandai doesn't seem to care much about doing anything about it. Input-reading opponents were annoying in the 90s and they're still annoying now. The CPU opponents will perfectly counter, block, vanish, and they will even use moves that they don't have the energy for. Most of my complaints are from shortly after launch, so it's possible that the issues aren't quite as bad now. Along with the unfair CPU, the development feel off. There are bugs in the game now that have been present since launch still unfixed, there are characters *in the game* that cannot be used by players without modding, and they just dropped a $47 DLC that mainly consists of characters that were *already in older Sparking games*.
What Works

The Presentation
Visually and audibly, Sparking Zero is stunning. The characters look great, their animations are nice, charged attacks are satisfying to land, the beams look great, and effects like Namek blowing up are fantastic. Sparking Zero can be augmented by mods fairly easily, allowing for an even better experience.
Basic Gameplay
The controls for Sparking Zero are easy enough to get into. Flying, punching, blasting, it all works as you would expect from a Dragon Ball game like the older Sparking titles or DBZ: Kakarot. It's responsive (usually), intuitive (usually), and looks super cool (usually). It's super satisfying to hit someone with a strong attack that sends them through a building or two.
The Characters
Sparking Zero has like 240 characters or so right now, which is great. I like the idea of a Sparking game having *everything* the others had plus more. Even one-off characters like Fused Zamasu (Gohan) have enough detail put into them that they look great (Zamasu having more Gohan-esque hair). Many characters come with costumes or accessories that can be equipped, though many are just damaged variations. I wish there were options like alternate colours and BT3-style glow, but you can get those for free with a mod loader along with additional costumes and accessories. Overall, Sparking Zero is fun. It can be a bit annoying, and sure the devs may be a bit uncaring with it, but at the end of the day, it's a fun, pretty fighting game where you can have just about anyone from Dragon Ball fight anyone else from Dragon Ball. I recommend it to anyone who has played and enjoyed games like Xenoverse, Xenoverse 2, Kakarot, Raging Blast, Sparking, Budokai, or even fan-games like Dragon Ball Z: Final Stand (Roblox) or Dragon Ball Online Generations (Roblox).
