Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

So many veteran Dragon Age players know that this game is inedible for us. I cannot bear to continue playing an RPG where I have to skip all skippable dialogue to protect my sanity. Even then, the banter is still there to drive the nails into your ears.
Came to the game after hearing a lot of bad things. Turns out gamers are, as usual, dramatic as hell. Dialogues weren't half as cringe as people made it seem, the nonbinary arc was pretty on spot (and relatable as hell, as a transmasculine guy myself). Companions were fun, missions had me invested as hell. Not to mention the art and sound design - just marvelous. Different than origins, for sure, but more similar to inquisition. Loved it.
Unbearable, obnoxiously childish dialogue. I bought this under the impression that maybe people were exaggerating its awfulness. People tend to do that after all, and surely a Dragon Age game could not be so bad. I was wrong. Having wasted any amount of money, however meagre, on this - I can only ask: Is this how it feels to be a retarded and worthless slave?
If I knew what I know now I would not buy this game. The load times are super long. YOu will not be able to switch characters in game. New game creates a new character and when you try to go back to a previous character you have to use new game mode again , finalize the same character and start game. The story stars all over again. The save system needs some cereous repair. It sucks I blew away 70$ for game and add ons. I was so stupid.
If it had simply been called The Veilguard, I probably wouldn't have been so disappointed. But as a huge fan of Dragon Age: Origins (which is literally a masterpiece to me, one of the greatest RPGs ever made), Dragon Age: The Veilguard ended up being a very hollow experience. It has strayed so far from the original dark medieval fantasy RPG that it has become almost unrecognizable. Things I didn't enjoy: Before anything else, this game was originally designed as a live-service title (Thanks to EA for ruining every Dragon Age game after Origins with some kind of BS). Even though they eventually abandoned that idea during development, many of its systems still feel like they were built around it: the loot system, progression, inventory, factions, combat, and more. I'm not a fan of that design philosophy at all. 1. The writing is underwhelming. The story is weak, the lore is butchered, and the dialogue is overly simple - often childish. There is an excessive overuse of words like "okay," "maybe," and "well," making conversations feel repetitive and primitive. The overall tone is lighthearted and juvenile, as if you're watching a Marvel movie rather than playing a Dragon Age game. 2. The puzzles are surprisingly simplistic. Most of them require almost no thought, which makes them feel more like filler than actual gameplay. 3. The art style leans heavily toward a cartoony, Disney-like aesthetic, reminding me more of games like Fortnite or Overwatch than Dragon Age. 4. The combat is flashy and repetitive. Once again, it feels designed for fans of Marvel-style action games (such as Guardians of the Galaxy) or more casual action RPGs like Hogwarts Legacy, rather than for players looking for the tactical depth that Dragon Age was once known for. 5. The soundtrack is decent, but nothing more. It's cinematic, polished, and clearly expensive, yet somehow forgettable and hollow. It reminds me of the music in many modern blockbuster movies - you hear it once and never think about it again. It's nowhere near the level of Dragon Age: Origins, whose soundtrack is memorable, emotional, and full of soul. Things I liked: 1. It runs surprisingly well, even on my old laptop. 2. Some of the voice actors did an excellent job. Most of the cast is clearly talented. 3. The sound effects are well done. 4. It plays smoothly on a controller. 5. There are a few genuinely good moments scattered throughout the game. Overall, Dragon Age: The Veilguard isn't a terrible game. On its own, it's a fairly average action game. The problem is that it's a terrible Dragon Age game, at least for me. It abandons much of what made the series unique, replacing its dark fantasy identity with a safer, more generic blockbuster approach. As a result, it feels less like a true Dragon Age and more like a completely different franchise wearing Dragon Age's name.
I was a fan of DA: Inquisition, and had (some) hopes for this game. To be honest, it was a MASSIVE let down. I'm a millennial, and I HATE millennials in the video game industry. The writing is among the worst I've ever seen in a game. In dialogue opportunities, there are "gender identity options" where you can discuss your gender identity? And a gender confused sidekick that is struggling with "it's" identity? Bro, what? I play games to escape reality, not be forced into this reality that has become our world. It's just strange. The dialogue is atrocious, and the game looks like a cartoon. By the grace of God, I was able to play this due to an EA Play subscription and didn't have to purchase the game outright. Would've been a complete waste of money. I, in good faith, cannot recommend this game. I wanted to like it, because I was a fan of DA: Inquisition, but I just can't. If this is the direction the series is taking, then I want no part of it. It literally felt like a chore to play. 3.5/10
