What I write for this review is the experience I had with the game, everybody will experience things differently. This is my honest review if you don't like it well tough. Also no game is safe from a review whether its early access or full release, now onto the review. So I do not know how the actual writing process system works but I do know someone who does write articles & stories for a living & asked them to help me with this game. So we sat down & started playing Drafting Tales. After 20 minutes my friend commented on that deadlines go by way to quick before even finishing the project you start. The other thing my friend noticed is that the day system is also way to quick making deadline & money very difficult. My friend didn't like genera & categories being locked off until you unlock them. My friend believes that the dev should have made genera/categories experience level to be better at that said genera/categories. For me I don't like the lack of game customization like disabling the rent system or deadline. Allowing players to play the game differently each time in different experiences. However me & my friend do agree this would have been better if the players types something up & the game rates you on your articles or stories to help players improve their writing creativity in a fun way. So Drafting Tales gets a 3/10 score making it below average & that is the Pony review for Drafting Tales.

Derivative of Game Dev Tycoon in the core gameplay (a poor attempt, honestly), and not much else. There wasn't really any challenge to speak of, either. It's not a bad concept for a game, I just don't think that the dev knew how to pull it off. For what it's worth, the atmosphere and the soundtrack were quite pleasant, and I didn't encounter any bugs. Drafting Tales is skin and bones, but what is there is at least well-made.
garbage
While I appreciate that it still gets updates, it feels like half a game/something that just got into Beta. I gave it 11 in game years and while it did entertain me for 2.5 hours, it was a little rough, a lot grindy, and not really balanced when you have to purchase so many points for skills but cannot even get half of the ones I'd need to improve...even after 10 in game years. This would be good to get on sale and play while you do other things though. Multi-tasking game? Yes. Entertaining solo? No.
It saddens me to see that this is now a dead game from a dead indie studio. I played this back in 2021 just before the pandemic ended, and I came back to it after 5 years because, well, random nostalgia I guess. It's a rather simplistic game with casual playthrough but it can get a bit grindy in the middle. The protagonist is an author trying to earn his livings by writing forms of literature. The gameplay loop can get a bit tedious after like 4-5 playthroughs, however, it is very satisfying when you finally get the ending you want. Though the gameplay is a bit unrealistic if you are looking at it from a 'realism' POV (like, most fiction authors nowadays do not write non-fiction unless it's an autobiography but since the timeline appears to have started from like 1990, it's a bit more realistic when you think about it when many authors did do that) but it's understandable as a gameplay mechanic, even though I believe there could have been a better way. The game could have been made even better with more events and an actual story for the author/protagonist. The "writer's block" game is kinda fun, but it seems to me that they get harder along the way or it's just me suffering from puzzle fatigue. Overall, you could get a lovely 50 hours in this game if you want to, and the price is worth it if there's a discount. 8/10.

love it
Joguinho simples e interessante, vale a pena conferir, bastante potencial.
Great concept and quite enjoyable.
Really good game for something that just exited early release. Really addictive and fun, as you can see. There can be a little frustration with gaining XP in order to process quality wise through the game.
