About
Randomized scavenging and events.
3 Different shipmates to take with you and talk to.
A cozy and creepy atmosphere that alternates between day and night. (This game contains Jumpscares!)

How To Play:
You’re the captain of a ship on a covert delivery mission with a small crew. Without warning, something strikes the vessel, causing severe damage. You wait for the emergency horns. When they sound, you know you need to evacuate immediately.
Time is running out! Gather whatever you can and toss it into your lifeboat, before the ship sinks. Every item counts! Escape by staying near the boat at the end! However, it can only carry one more person besides you.
Use the daytime to spend your energy on fishing, eating, doing small tasks, or chatting to your shipmate (if you brought one). When you run out of energy, end the day and try to sleep hoping nothing disrupts your rest.
If your night does get interrupted, use an item you brought to handle the situation. If you have no answer, you can try going back to sleep. Sometimes, that’s your only option.
Your adventure could end in many ways. In some, you will survive. In most, you won't.

Tutti i miei social: https://linktr.ee/Touvka ITALIAN VERSION - ENGLISH BELOW A volte i giochi più interessanti sono quelli che compri senza sapere minimamente cosa aspettarti. Ho scoperto Don't Sleep with the Fishes completamente per caso. E qui entra in gioco il grande nemico di Don't Sleep with the Fishes, l'RNG. E purtroppo Don't Sleep with the Fishes si consuma molto velocemente. ENGLISH VERSION - Sometimes the most interesting games are the ones you buy without knowing absolutely anything about them. I discovered Don't Sleep with the Fishes completely by chance. The incredibly low price just $2 convinced me to give it a shot, and since I was looking for something to play on stream, I decided to bring it to Twitch. And honestly, the beginning surprised me. The game clearly takes inspiration from 60 Seconds!: you have a very limited amount of time to move around the ship, grab as many useful items as possible, and prepare yourself for the inevitable disaster. The ship is sinking. You have only a few seconds to figure out what might be useful, where to find it, and most importantly, how much time you can afford to waste getting it. And that's probably the most fun part of the game. The first few runs are chaotic races against the clock. You have to quickly learn the layout of the ship, figure out which items are actually worth grabbing, and make decisions without having any idea what is going to happen next. Once the ship is completely underwater, the real survival phase begins. Everything you managed to collect becomes essential for staying alive, while random events constantly try to screw up your plans. And that's where Don't Sleep with the Fishes biggest enemy comes into play, RNG. The events are random and can completely change the course of a run. The problem is that, at least from what I experienced, there simply aren't enough of them. And that's where the game starts to fall apart. Because after just two or three runs, you've already seen a huge portion of what the game has to offer. In my case, after only two runs, I had already started recognizing events and figuring out what was going to happen. And when a game builds so much of its experience around randomness, that's a pretty serious problem. The promise of a game like this should be: Every run could be completely different. But once you start thinking: Oh, I know this event already. the magic inevitably starts to disappear. And unfortunately, Don't Sleep with the Fishes burns through its ideas incredibly quickly. The ridiculous deaths, troll events, and especially the actual ending can still provide some surprises, but the problem is getting there. Because once you've passed that first hour, starting another run can feel less like curiosity and more like a test of patience. The game's lore follows a similar approach. During your runs, you can find fragments of newspapers that slowly reveal what happened and give some context to the world you're exploring. I actually really like the idea. In fact, it's probably one of the things that made me the most curious about the game. The problem is that the information is so fragmented and randomly distributed that, at least for me, it wasn't enough to create that feeling of curiosity that makes you want to keep playing for hours just to find the next piece of the story. And that's a shame, because the potential is definitely there. The game has an interesting premise, a simple but effective core mechanic, and most importantly, a structure that could work incredibly well with a much larger variety of events, items, absurd situations, and different endings. But it needed much more content. Because Don't Sleep with the Fishes has a very particular problem: its best part is the first hour. At the beginning, you're discovering everything. You learn the map. You experiment with the items. You discover new events. You make stupid decisions. You die in ridiculous ways. And you immediately want to start another run. But then you start figuring everything out. And once you've figured everything out, there's much less left to discover. In the end, I wouldn't call Don't Sleep with the Fishes a bad game. Quite the opposite. For just $2, I think the experience it offers is absolutely worth checking out. The problem is that it feels like a smaller version of an idea that could have been so much bigger. If the game had been filled with more events, more items, more possibilities, and especially more situations capable of surprising the player after those first few hours, I would probably be talking about a completely different game. As it stands, it's a fun, unusual experience that's perfect to try during a stream... but it ultimately sinks long before it should. And cons
