Sorry but I just can't recommend this game.. Not only is it very boring but it feels cheaply made sorry. So firstly I got this game to potentially review for my channel if I liked it. It's a very cartoony, kid-like game I thought my daughter would be interested in playing. Only to be greeted by a warning upon clicking start about the game not being for kids and containing things such as body mutilation.. What gives? This game clearly looks like a kids game.. Yet it's not for kids? Anyway the game itself is very boring. It appears to be a game where you walk around talking to npc's doing "Quests". Or rather just blindly wandering around clicking on everything and everyone you can find until you accomplish something. It really is not fun at all. I can't see any adult or even 16+ year old enjoying this. It might have kept young children entertained for a short while had it not contained things like body mutilation and whales being murdered at the start. As for the game itself it feels cheaply made. You can't even mute the annoying looping music without turning the whole game sound down in the menu.. The animations and character movement is extremely poor. The leg walking animation speed doesn't even match the characters movement speed. I'm sorry but I just can't recommend this game in the current state. This is my own personal opinion so be sure to make your own if you do or don't decide to purchase this game.

While I appreciate the message this game is trying to portray, to treat all living beings especially animals with kindness, I do not agree with the agenda. Consuming meat does not make you a bad person, and just because someone chooses to be vegan, does not make them a good person. I do not agree with animal cruelty. Just because someone decides to consume meat, does not make them an abusive and horrible human being. I did like the message similar to the man looking in the mirror with the camera option. We can choose to be better people, but choosing not to eat meat doesn't make you a better person. Overall I'd give this game a 5/5 for the graphics, 0/5 for the vegan agenda.
This game is not worth $8.50 but suit yourself!

I had ants in my pants!
Do Animals Dream? is a wholesome attempt to explain that animals are sentient beings with feelings and not inanimate objects. What it basically does is reverse the roles between humans and animals, so instead of being in a world where humans are the ruling force, it is now the opposite. The protagonist is a whale hunter whose boat gets destroyed in an accident and then he is stranded on an island with talking animals. In order to escape you have to help cure their dying leader, and while doing that you will meet different kinds of animals who will tell you about their life's story or ask for a favor. I found some of them funny actually. The game doesn't take too long to finish, but there are 3 different endings ( or are there more? I only managed to find 3 ) which means you can replay it. Apart from the fact that choices matter, there isn't anything special when it comes to gameplay. It is basically a walking simulator with very simple animations. There are some map bugs that consist of invisible obstacles (maybe intentional, because the developer wanted the player to take a specific path ).
honestly, if the "cute animals + horror" premise interests you, you'd be better off just watching a playthrough on YouTube. janky and not much fun to actually play, even at its short length
