You are the Dragon Commander. Your mission it is to reunite a broken empire and become the new emperor. Success depends entirely on your ability to efficiently rule your empire, build invincible armies and lead them to victory.

Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's got a lot of problems but overall I really enjoyed Dragon Commander. The RTS element is okay, the choices you make in regards to the Empire and dealing with the various races was the fun part. Act 3 sucks with how the map is layed out and how you've probably run out of dialogue at that point, making it a real drag to the finish line. Overall a nice time if you can get it on sale.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 10: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

This is the worst RTS I have ever played. No contest. It would seem that the devs spent all their time working on everything EXCEPT the actual gameplay. The end result is an ultra basic core RTS system that holds entire rest of the game back.
The combat is a joke, a waste of time that has very little work put into it. This game should have just been a visual novel.
Fun political/visual novel-esque game Below average action game Terrible dated feel to tactics I like the game, don't get me wrong, but if you want it remember Larian came from the gutter and in some ways it still shows here.

Crashed. Again.
Encountered a glitch that prevents me from building troops. couldn't find a glitch for it
Divinity Dragon Commander is one of those goofy games that has a ton of heart, but is not something is a great amount of depth and staying power. After about 13 hours, I beat the story campaign. Apart from the story campaign, the game has secondary campaigns that play more like a traditional 4x game, which I may go back and play later. Overall, I was charmed by its steampunk style, its cheeky political simulations, its funny dialogue, and its grand strategy game map. It plays much like your standard total war like game where you have a large turn based 4x map in which you can build, research, create and move units, and collect and play various cards that impact that game. But in between turns on the 4x map, you return to your ship and engage NPCs in dialogue. This could be a meeting between delegates where you choose policy like “should we instate a “don’t ask don’t tell” policy?” or “should we allow civilians the right to bear arms?” or “Should we allow recreational drug use?” etc. You can confer with your various advisors on the matters and the back and forth can be a fun read. Its all relatively simple, and dodges the dreaded “ 4x game faction management via pop up and spreadsheet simulator” vibe that plagues the genre. I like the 4x gameplay. Its was satisfying and intuitive to create units, create buildings, move units around and attack. It’s the real time battles that eventually became a drag. The first few battles were amazing, I loved controlling my dragon, capturing building spaces, building production facilities, and commanding my units in the field. But eventually that turned sour. Now I admit I didn’t understand what was happening, but towards the mid-late game, the RTS battles became increasingly sloggy and difficult. Here’s an example. I invade a new territory with a strong army. The pre-battle screen pops up and I have the overwhelming advantage in units. After all cards are played, I have like 80% of the power bar filled, the enemy has 20%. But when we start the RTS battle, the enemy suddenly has a billon units and during the first confrontation, absolutely smashes my army. I lose. I reload my save and I auto-battle the fight. During the auto-battle, I smash the enemy, only losing one unit and eliminating all enemy units. This happened more and more, until eventually I just auto-battle all the battles. I do not find this to be fun. If it is easier and more accurate to auto-battle, why even RTS battle at all? I’ve read online that the RTS battles can be very difficult, but since this is kind of a dead game, there wasn’t much chatter about the specifics. All in all, I enjoyed this game. I like Larian studios and I think this one is ambitious and fun, even if the RTS battles were a slog.
