Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is amazing. The mechanics are very simple so it is not a very complex RTS. That said, the writing is incredible. Most of what the characters say is literally poetic. I think that anyone looking for a novel in the form of a video game will be very impressed.
Honestly this game has all the makings of a brilliant strategy game and its just executed in the most horrible way possible where it counts. The Political Strategy where you have to choose between compromising your morals to keep all the factions happy or ramming through right or left wing policies without giving a crap who you anger in the process is left lacking by the sheer lack of well consequences for angering the opposition and lack of intrigue options to try and change public opinion. The Combat Strategy where you look at the world map and order troop production and movement is just the absolute worst. One, the A.I. can't win a fight to save its life and all your so called expert generals can't win a single battle unless they have the power of OVERWHELMING FORCE on their side so yeah basically if you get into more than two battles per turn you're up the creek without a paddle you're gonna lose whichever territory you don't actively command and the A.I. will 100% exploit this weakness, oh and the A.I. can 100% outproduce you on units I swear they must be cheating to pull this off... yes even on the baby casual mode. The Real Time Strategy itself.. there is only one viable strategy, the zerg rush. Mass produce units of all sorts, bum rush the enemy and swarm them with overwhelming numbers. Honestly Dragon Commander is a game I want to love. I like the political side of it, I enjoy the lore, I like watching the characters who are mostly one dimensional when you meet them grow and develop some more, but between my A.I. generals being more useless than one ply toilet paper the morning after a drunken spicy food buffet and the slog of having an RTS combat with only one viable strategy until every fight is the bloody same as the last one just no. Buy it on sale I guess if you want it, ONLY if its deep discount, otherwise just get Original Sin 2 or some other actually good divinity game.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 10: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Why did I buy this? It was possibly good in 2013 but not now...
Dragon Commander is a unique blend of RTS, RPG and action combat (you use a dragon in fights), that focuses on making political decisions between different factions, that affect the world and the campaign; has a nice art-style (full of vibrant colors, stylized graphics), and a fitting soundtrack. The dragon combat can feel repetitive after a while, the RTS mechanics are a bit underbaked and some fights feel imbalanced, especially towards the end, but overall it's a decent game.
This is one of the strangest games I have ever played and loved every minute of it. Is it a bit clunky and odd at times? Yes. Is that because the fusion of real time strategy and 3rd person arial combat? Probably. Is that completely washed away by the novelty of being a jet pack dragon commanding an army of steampunk machines? Absolutely. 11/10. Would recommend. Especially on sale. $4 for this gem? I'll take 5.
Divinity: Dragon Commander is a bold hybrid that mixes real-time strategy, turn-based campaign management, RPG choices, and even dragon combat into one unique package. Leading an empire while making political decisions — and personally entering battles as a dragon — gives the game a creative edge that still feels fresh today. The writing, humor, and world-building are standout elements, but the RTS mechanics can feel shallow and repetitive, holding back its full potential. ⭐ Rating: 8/10 — Ambitious and оригинальний hybrid with great ideas, even if not all of them fully land. - Evolution Of Larian Studios Games - Video Gameplay - https://youtu.be/py6etbK6O5E - Follow my curator page - https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45547027/
I started getting acquainted with the "Divinity" series from this game. It was very interesting to see the Rivellon in the ancient times of demonic steampunk. Moreover, as I understand it, this game is the most unusual and experimental part of the series. So what can I say? I liked this experiment! An incredible mix of a political simulator with elements of a role-playing game, global turn-based strategy and real-time strategy! Moreover, it was the real-time strategy that pleased me most, oddly enough (I really don’t like this genre). But here the developers have surpassed everyone! Perfect balance and truly fair battles, in which only you really decide! It's amazing! P.S. Out of 19 hours I spent 7 hours trying to figure out how to play this.
