Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 7 → 0.86/day in the week after.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Positives

Non-stop action
Escalating set pieces
Post-story replayability
Higher stakes

Negatives

Very short length
Trivial weapon system

Conclusion
Dino Crisis 2 takes a different approach from the first game by transforming into an arcade-style, dual protagonist-led adventure with non-stop enemies, an Extinction Point system to purchase new weapons and resources, and (admittedly )barebones post-story replayability. The switch away from survival horror works in the same sense of going from Alien to Aliens, and there's fun to be had as the gameplay feels like step between Resident Evil 3 and 4, sharing some similar set piece escalation as the latter. The story here is more ambitious as well compared to its predecessor, albeit having more favour toward new protagonist Dylan Morton than fan-favourite Regina Besides the usual PC port technical difficulties associated with PS1 titles (with a strong recommendation to install Mulderland's Enhancement Pack in the community guide before playing), Dino Crisis 2 is criminally short, which may sit well for those who wish to replay it, but the linear level design from 2000 hardly justifies another run. This is compounded by a shop system that offers weapons and tools that feel nearly interchangeable. Barring the ones necessary for progressing through certain paths, you can remain with and upgrade only one or two weapons to last you the entire game's length. The shop system is helpful as enemies respawn constantly in almost every area of the game, lending toward the arcade focus of the sequel to a sometimes frustrating degree that leaves no moment for players to breathe. All in all, Dino Crisis 2 is a good time when taken as an arcade shooter. It doesn't strive much to become more than that or to take any notes from the first game (arguably to its detriment), but it's a worthwhile evolution of this short franchise and it deserved to be a longer experience so its story, characters, and gameplay could've reached their potential.
Should you buy it?
Yes, but on a decent sale or discount.

It works for me with Proton. Gotta say its really fun for speed runs.
Dino Crisis 2 is a fun action game, but it's also quite a departure from the original. If you're expecting another slow-paced survival horror experience, you might be disappointed. However, if you enjoy arcade-style action with dinosaurs, there's still plenty to like. The gameplay is fast, satisfying, and encourages you to keep moving rather than conserving every bullet. The combo and point system adds a nice layer of replayability, and mowing down packs of dinosaurs can be genuinely enjoyable. The environments are varied, and the game rarely overstays its welcome. On the downside, the shift away from survival horror means much of the tension from the first game is gone. The story is fairly simple, the voice acting is hit-or-miss, and some sections can become repetitive. It's also a relatively short game, though that can work in its favor if you're looking for a weekend playthrough. Overall, Dino Crisis 2 may not capture the atmosphere of its predecessor, but it succeeds as a fun, action-focused spin on the series. It's not perfect, but it's an enjoyable classic that's still worth playing, especially if you're a fan of dinosaurs and old-school Capcom games.
2000年时在PS1上玩过,这次算补票。 我们需要中文!
One of the better PS1 action games. This game is pretty much same to Dino Crisis, what Aliens, is to Alien. But this one is easily better than first Dino Crisis. Stylishly Dino Crisis 2 is pretty similar to first one and there very little variation, but when there is, it works very well and breaks monotony. First game is not necessary for story purpose, since sequel tells the important parts. Game has two protagonist, Regina from the first Dino Crisis and new guy Dylan. Only difference between the two is the arsenal they are able to use when killing dinos back to extinction. Controls take a moment to get use to, since it is that familiar tank control system that Resident Evil games used way too long and way too many games imitated. Many other aspects of the control is changed heavily, so that the combat feels better. Combat is easily the one thing that makes this game so good, especially when compared to many other games of the same era. Combat with combo meter is the one extra thing that makes the action so fun and challenges player to do better all the time. You can do serious damage to enemies, but if you want to be flawless, you should tread carefully. Another very strong part of combat are the weapons, that are different enough to bring variation to combat. Story is nothing special, but it keeps everything moving for 5 hours that it takes to finish the game. Dino Crisis 2 may be short game, but it has good replay value and short duration might even be a good thing, since it makes the game easier to start again. + Action with combo system + Weapons + A lot of dinos to shoot - Moving controls - Few sections 8/10
