Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 24 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

bom metroidvania

Cute game, but the controls eventually become a nightmare to deal with, particularly after unlocking the frog.

Metroidvania is a genre that has flourished for the last decade or so. With titles such as Hollow Knight, Iconoclasts among many others, the vague memory one had of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night or more recently Metroid Fusion has been put into successors, challenged with different ideas and takes worthy to check out. But these don't always hit in execution as is the case for this game. Dimensional Animals follows a dog fetching a ball across different dimensions. In this quest you encounter enemies, bosses, upgrades (as per usual) but also characters that give the player a higher range of mobility than before. Initially you can teleport horizontally to both attach and skip walls, and later you're able to do more stuff like double jump in order to get to the next platform, have a better way to dodge attacks or discover secret locations on the map. With a good moving character, a decent pixel art presentation perfect for the nostalgia goggle, fitting tracks for each zone, a simple yet quirky narrative and a short but suitable length, you get a neat small package of an indie recommendation. However, if in reality the controls don't work as intended then everything ends up falling apart. For starters, it was decided that 2 different mid air jump techniques had to be tied to the same button, only using one or the other depending on the movement of the character. Normally this wouldn’t be much of an issue but in precise jumping this becomes vital and can lead to unnecessarily annoying restarts. Then there’s the previously mentioned teleportation, which can be too loose to measure while moving so you can end up hurting yourself by spawning on a wall or missing an attack by a bit since you couldn’t tell where in the enemy you would hit. Combine all of that with constant hitbox glitches, slowdowns and lag and you end up with a recipe for frustration, more so if you're willing to go for full completion. Of course, since this seems to be a solo dev project, I can't be too hard on it. The presentation was what grabbed me the most right from the intro sequence since it set the scene and the way most of the secrets were hidden (except for one in particular which I found incredibly bothersome to get) show good level design. That being said, in the state it's currently in it's a bit hard for me to recommend it to the general audience. I'm always willing to support Latin American games though that doesn't mean blindly doing so is the way.
DIMENSIONAL ANIMALS IS AN AMAZING SHORT METROIDVANIA <3 Has a person who usually is busy with so many tasks I have a short time to spend on games that took a lot of time to beat, somedays I just want to chill after work and play a short but really good experience and this game DEFINITLY give you that feeling. The level design feels so good , every new power up adds some cool mechanics for the tricks to keep progressing through the leves, the toad one is one of my favorites cuse kinda reminds me of the mario odissei gameplay ^^ The sound track is so chill but in the forest level IT JUST EXPAND AND GIVE YOU SOME COOL CELESTE VIBES since you're doing some crazy platform jumps. Overall Dimensional Animals is a game totaly worth it, and I think I spent well my money < 3
This is almost a yes. It's thoughtfully designed and fun, but it has a few problems: - Controls get janky when combining powers, especially when using the floating things that renew use of all powers in the middle of a jump -- which is part of essentially all the harder platforming challenges. They thus become a frustrating exercise in "repeat until every button press registers and the timing lines up in a particular way you can't understand or predict." - Pretty short - No borderless fullscreen AND no resizeable window (or even a reasonable default size) Upgrades are limited to the 4 animal "swaps" (really movement upgrades that happen automatically), HP gems, and cosmetic color gems. Not much variety, but the game is very short anyway. The blinking power, which you start out with, is fun. It's OK. Maybe buy it on sale at a steep discount.
