The first two levels are fun. After that it becomes something next to impossible to make it through a level on the Easy setting. Buy the best guns. Ok, this should be doable now, right? Wrong! How many times do I have to shoot the same junk in the water to get rid of it? How many rat people can you send at me at once, requiring 2-3 hits each? Bad design simply sends so much at you that you can't progress. This could be truly a great title and I dare them to rework this into something really fun to play. Happy to revisit this review then.
Did this game need a sequel? The foundation is good but the pacing makes it boring. Even introducing a new enemy in each level they are all handled the same, and new guns are locked behind a few hours of play, so you are stuck with the standard three guns for a long time. The design is for replayability trying to stretch content for a couple dozen hours, but it is not engaging enough to keep the excitement even through a single hour of play.

Way too difficult even after the first couple of levels. It feels like I'm going to give myself RSI with how much I have the pull the trigger to shoot.
The House of the Dead;
Seems like a perfect game for VR. Rail-style arcade shooter and it looks great in VR. Problem is the game is way too hard! Even playing on Easy this game is ridiculously difficult after the first two stages. Makes the quarter suckers at arcades seem generous.
It's kinda fun for a few levels but quickly becomes too difficult to actually progress through. Seems like it was balanced for multiplayer and nothing was changed for singleplayer.
♥♥♥♥ Wilde 2 - A redneck shooter more focused on mission driven progress, rather than stand off like the first. While the game looks and feels better than the first, I still feel the first game was a lot more fun. I think it's because the whole "get off my lawn ye trespassers!" vibe the game gave just sat perfectly with the character and location, whereas in this game, it's more a level based, progression based unlock of weapons and levels when you finish them, depending on your score. While the game has around the same weapons more or less and different levels, bigger and badder bosses (which is a nice change to be honest), the game really is fun, it isn't bad. The game is still a ton of fun and challenging when going for 100% completion. I think the party mode stand-off of ♥♥♥♥ Wilde 1 was the icing on the cake, but still, this game is great fun and would recommend if you want to shoot some crazy animals without a license.
Great Game!
180 degrees co-op shooter, pretty fun, nothing special but works well.
