About
Devil Spire Falls is a procedurally generated, open-world, hardcore action-RPG built around dynamic and interconnected systems and mechanics.
Create your own unique character and delve into this dark fantasy world where the actions of heroes past caused the first Devil Spire to fall, and spread an accursed fog throughout the land... And the monsters that lurked within.
Explore the overworld, conquer dungeons, become the town hero, raze every village to the ground, hunt monsters, slay bosses, slaughter bandits or nomad camps, kill that merchant, run away, build your own home, gather your party, go on quests, farm, fish, mine, hunt, tame... The possibilities are endless!
In this world where nothing is predetermined... Everything is permitted. No character is so important it can't be killed. No dungeon is made to be an easy or even fair challenge. No obstacle can't be smartly circumvented or brute-forced through. You will enter a world of its own, unconcerned with your well-being, and unprotected against your machinations! And of course, your choices are permanent, and they matter.
Fully customizeable character creation, including facial features, with several Races, Classes and Origins, backed by a deep, real RPG system with 7 attributes, skills, perks, equipment, magic and more!
18 unique weapon classes with their own special properties! From swords to flails, from bows to muskets, and from throwing knifes to javelins. You're sure to find one that suits your tastes! Or just use your own fists and feet!
35 Skills with 9 Perks each! Unlock special attacks, acquire new actions, get rid of limiters, learn how to craft mighty weapons, build your own house, double-jump, or simply unlock a door and disarm traps, etc. With enough training, your powers will know no limits!
Create your own spells with over 100 effects, from buffing to burning, invisibility to telekinesis, shrinking to transforming... There's enough magicks to fill an entire library with arcane grimoires!
A deep combat system with several unique attacks, blocking and parrying, dodges, kicks, and much more. You must use every tool at your disposal to outmaneuver your enemies, conserve your stamina, leave them stunned and confused, and emerge victorious!
Physics and environmental shenanigans: Throw items at enemies, kick them off cliffs, build your own bridges and stairs, sneak past them while snuffing out lights, use the traps and whatever else is around you to come out on top!
Climb anything, swim to the deepest depths, leap over mountains, fly above the clouds, tame and ride a horse... or learn how to run faster than them. There are many ways to traverse this vast world, and reach every room in the treacherous dungeons. Just how many secrets lie in the far reaches of the world, or behind a secret wall?
In-depth NPC interaction system: Trade items, chit-chat, join factions, do quests, get trained, ask for information, recruit them to your party... not to mention all the interactions outside civil conversation like pick-pocketing, murder, induced coma, and other accidents!
An endless amount of items, activities, interactables and things to build or destroy, all interlinked and working with each other! Build your own base, grow your own crops, gather, mine and fish, or just destroy anything that stands in your path. The choice is yours!
While you have the freedom to do whatever it is you desire... The Urge to conquer a newly risen Devil Spire does not leave your mind. Will you repeat the errors of the past, discover the truths behind the massive towers, or simply take their power as your own? You now have the entire world to explore, conquer, and scour for answers!

Pure crack, takes a bit to learn mechanics, but once you do, bye bye life. Insane potential!
Really fun to explore the game. Played the Demo for more than two hours and had to get the full game.
i love ignoring the main quest and just working on my house outside of a small village. i do wish the other origins would be added tho. also i barely lag and i have a piece of ♥♥♥♥ for a laptop.

Theres so much to do, its super chill with allowing you to just completely cheese the game if you want to. Sending enemies across the map with the hammer is too much fun 9/10 could use some more enemies + SFX
Devil Spire Falls hits like a glorious mashup of Daggerfall and Minecraft, with Morrowind's cracked-out magic system, the quirky charm of OSRS, and somehow it is also like Kenshi. Which is good. This game really came out of left field for me. I didn't think anyone was gonna make this. It reminds me of when I was younger and would dream of incredible games built on Morrowind and Zelda logic. This particular fever dream holds great promise, offering a new sense of that limitless freedom classic titles once gave us. The moment you're dropped into the world, you are surrounded by resources, and options. Rocks to break for minerals. Trees yield wood for your house. Herbs and wheat and seeds to sew. And you don't NEED to do any of that. You could just kill kill kill, and sell all that loot in exchange for anything you need to keep adventuring. Or you could skip all the adventuring and live the quiet life of a farmer. RIght now I'm playing as a cat person who punches rocks because he couldn't afford a pickaxe and now his fists are harder than iron and he can uppercut zombies to the moon. This was purely by accident. Progression is totally organic. Whatever you do, you get better at that. Even if it's something completely stupid. There are no wrong choices as you are an immortal and death is only a minor setback. I love the rando NPCs that populate the world. Almost ALL of them are useful, and sell useful items and can teach useful skills, provided that you can convince them through trade and conversation. You'll want to talk to everyone once you realize what that means for you. I've barely scratched the surface and I'm already hopelessly addicted. Most of the hours I played leading up to this review were straight consecutive hours of gameplay. I am having too much fun. This is really damn fun.
Very janky, unoptimized, and very easy to reach godhood once you understand the game's mechanics. Still the game is fun in it's own special way. This game has an absolutely massive scope planned with it's content, which can be seen by checking the developer's roadmap for the game. But the developer releases content updates EVERY WEEK consistently, and so I gladly support the developer to continue creating this game.
continues the tradition of classic rpgs by putting you in a vaguely medieval setting with little context or explanation (outside of concise tutorials), and leaving the player initially feeling like a homeless boob rummaging for literal human feces so that they can make an actual bed, but by end game you are an unkillable higher entity made of light energy that can pimp slap abominations so hard it's a scientific incident. It's real real real early in development at the current moment, but updates are happening very frequently, and the developer is very active in keeping players updated on progress. A for sure classic in about a years time if even that long, but even in it's current state it's a gem with a lot of stuff to have fun figuring out. If I had to describe the feeling of playing it I would say it's like if Project Zomboid and Daggerfall merged into one.
I've been waiting for a good daggerfall successor for a while now and this really scratches the itch. If the developer plays their cards right I could see this developing into a "forever game" you'll play for years after it's official release. The foundation of the game is really solid, and it seems to be getting a good amount of updates. If you're interested in a quality procedurally generated RPG, this one's worth a shot.
I hope Something like Golem craft gets added
