Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 9 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
DEVIL BLADE REBOOT
Devil Blade, a 1996 indie shmup released only in Japan,
has received a full remake almost a quarter century later by the original creator,
taking advantage of the latest technology.
Dive into an immersive pseudo-3D experience that pushes the limits of pixel art.
With a perfect fusion of background music and evolving stage design,
you can experience a feeling only possible in a SHMUP!
Devil Blade Reboot is presented in a seamless and cohesive package,
for the first time in English!
Simply "dodge, shoot, and destroy" without any extra baggage.
Devil Blade Reboot strictly follows a strict design concept that pursues
catharsis of shmups to the extreme.
But, as they say... no pain, no gain! If you want to enhance your score,
you will have to shoot down enemies in close proximity. The closer they are,
the higher the score multiplier. With the Berserk System,
dangerous play is the way to climb the ladder, as high risk brings high reward.
【2D pixel art graphics with an obsessive level of detail.】
Rendered in the original native 320x240 resolution of the classics,
but with visuals that defy the limits of pixel art! Experience immersive pseudo-3D,
making use of modern techniques such as multiple parallax scrolling and zoom effects.
【Berserk System】
The closer you let them get, the higher your score will climb!
Dramatically increase the score... and the difficulty, by destroying enemies in close range!
The difficulty level changes drastically depending on the way you play the game.
From beginners who just want to clear the game,
to advanced players chasing the highest score possible,
Devil Blade Reboot is designed to be enjoyed by anyone interested in the genre.
【Retro and Reboot Mode】
While the enhancements of Reboot are visually stunning,
some may want to look back in history to see the origins of Devil Blade. We have you covered.
Included is an Arrange mode of the original "Devil Blade" created in Dezaemon+ in 1996
with the Berserk system added but the original atmosphere preserved.

Bought on a sale, easily worth full price though. 3 hours in on the first day I decided to install, whipped it around a bit, and got 2 1CCs on Normal. I don't do that often, like at all. I'm a Novice Mode Knave used to getting creme'd by stage 3. It's easier than other hardcore STGs (at least on Normal), but the hook is meaty. Easy enough to learn for clearing, a simple risk/reward mechanic for high scoring, and enough fun to make you want to hit the wall again. Good games.
とりあえず2Dシューティングに興味があるならこれをやっとけってぐらい完成度の高いSTG 幅広い難易度、爽快感、これでもかという親切設計と非の打ちどころがない。
演出华丽程度惊为天人,难度适中,good
It is a mixed bag: the presentation is great and gameplay snappy. The scoring seems to be too one dimensional though: point blanking is the name of the game. That is not to say it is easy on hard or inferno difficulty -- it does take some serious routing and skill to pull off. I think there could be more scaling on the difficulty -- maybe each difficulty should have an inferno mode, or the inferno mode itself would scale from more easy to very difficult like a ranking system. Easy and normal difficulties are very welcoming for a newbie. Visual clarity could be better and the graphical options more clear: integer scaling would be appreciated. I was a bit let down with this purchase but I'll definitely play more and update the review if needed.
Looks amazing. Gameplay is fun. Accessible if you want to play it on normal mode. Great entry level shmup.
Nails the always difficult "vertizontal" aspect ratio. Instant classic.
didn't live up to the hype, went in expecting one of the best ever shooters, just got a really well made one with nothing new to offer and nothing to make me want to play it more. there is nothing wrong with it, but it is just not as good as people claim it is. i recommend you try before u buy. but in all good heart, i can't not recommend it, because it is a good game, just the over hype killed it for me.
